Greetings everyone. Hi it's me again. I know I promised you guys another story and here it is. Basically it's the second movie of transformers with my OC's wreaking havoc around the world.
Disclaimer: If I owned it would I be writing fan fiction? No, I don't think so.
You know, I hate long author's notes. I've put in the disclaimer so I think that's it. LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
Darkness, that's all I could see at first. No more than a pitch black hole filling my vision. I could feel nothing, see nothing and hear nothing and that scared me even more than a whole nest of spiders. It was becoming overwhelming; the darkness threatening to choke me, then without warning the blackness disappeared leaving me standing in a dimly lit room. I could see faces and shapes looming over me. They were dead but I could feel them watching me all the same.
Somewhere behind me I heard a noise. I spun and found myself staring into a set of golden eyes that gleamed like twin suns in the sky. I couldn't see the face of whoever it was but the eyes seemed to speak to me in a desperate voice that pulled at my heart and terrified me at the same time.
'Help me please' they seemed to say 'come to me and help me. I cannot escape'
Then the symbols flashed through my head for the total of half a second before they were gone and I found myself staring into glowing blood red optics which were filled with such hatred and malice that my heart nearly stopped.
I stumbled back in horror trying to get away from this nightmare before the blackness refilled my vision.
My eyes opened and I shrieked, bolting upright in bed clutching my heart and panting. I could feel my heart pounding and fluttering beneath my fingers and I was breathing like I had just run a marathon in record time.
"Just a dream, it was just a dream" I muttered managing to calm myself down enough to be annoyed "God damn it, that's the tenth time I've had that same dream and it still scares me"
After I had come to the conclusion that I wasn't having a heart attack I glanced over at the digital clock on my bedside table which read 5:15. I still had fifteen minutes till my alarm went and I could not be bothered to lye back down. Instead I swung my legs off my bed and stretched, preparing myself for the day to come.
In the mirror just opposite my bed I watched as I slowly got to my feet. Two years ago I had freaked at the sight of the person in the mirror. The tall slender frame, white hair which had grown a fair bit since mission city and the large royal blue eyes which glowed, lighting up the pretty face. I wasn't vain, far from it in fact, but even I had to admit that I was pretty.
I sank back down onto the bed slowly, still staring at my reflection. I hadn't always looked like this. In fact two years ago I had been normal. As in really normal, with blond hair and hazel eyes and struggling to fit in school, homework, swimming and music practice. Then I had been hit with the All Spark and all of that had changed. I had gone from worrying about not finishing an assignment on time to worrying that when I turned the corner I would be shot by some gigantic robot. Then on top of that I had discovered that my dad, who I had thought was dead, was alive and working with the bad guys or the Decepticons and my mum was killed right before my eyes when my house was burned down. I had been pretty much dragged into an intergalactic war that we had finally won in the end but not before my normal life had been shot to smithereens and burned for good look. Now I was part of a team that combined both the aliens and humans together to fight what remained of the Decepticon forces that kept popping up from time to time.
The annoying beep of my alarm jolted me out of my brooding. Without thinking I whirled and slammed my hand down on the clock. Unfortunately that resulted in it breaking.
"Ouch, aw crap now I need a new alarm clock" I muttered cradling my hand "oh well serves it right interrupting my thoughts like that"
The total of two minutes and thirty seven point five seconds later I was down in the main control room of NEST. I was dressed in a plain black, high necked leather jacket, a black singlet, army design cargos and scuffed combat boots and my white hair, which now reached just past my shoulders was done up in a tight, neat pony tail. I would never get used to the fact that I had to carry a gun around with me at all times but I really didn't mind. At least I had some means of protection should my powers fail me.
"Wassup everyone" I said
"The roof" Major Lennox replied from his seat at one of the computers. I really did not want to know what time he got up at. Major William Lennox was pretty much one of the only military people who took me half way seriously, besides Epps and Fig. The others still saw me as a bit of a joke, seeing as I was apparently 'too young' to be in this branch of the army. I then retaliated by flipping them on their ass and walking away.
"Well technically it would be the ceiling but hey-ho roof works just as well" I shrugged grabbing a wheelie chair and spinning in beside him. "What we got?"
"Nothing at this point in time" Lennox said. I examined the scanner, looking for any tell-tale Decepticon blips, but as he had said there were none.
"Hm, all quiet on the western front eh?" I patted his shoulder "I'll be back"
"Dreading it already" Will grinned, facial expression telling a completely different story.
"Oh ha ha ha" I said as I went out the door. Just opposite the main control room was what was known as the Autobot hanger. As I opened the door I activated my shield. I had had a few nasty experiences entering this room, mostly along the lines of Ironhide shooting at me, and I wasn't taking any chances.
I was right. The moment I stepped through the door an explosion made my shield flare from being clear to being electric blue.
"Cheers 'hide" I called. The bulky black weapons specialist growled in Cybertronian and stalked off. I rolled my eyes at his gruffness knowing full well that deep down inside him (make that very, very deep down) he really did care about me "You love me really"
"Don't try it" I grinned over at Starscream. The ex-con was stretching slightly, wincing as his back pulled. Despite everything that Ratchet had done the damage that was inflicted in Mission City would never heal fully. I shut my eyes against the memories of his pained cry as the missile had destroyed his thrusters and wings, knocking him out of the sky. The damage had been horrendous and had been touch and go whether he would ever fly again. Thankfully Ratchet had been able to repair the damage but it had been over six months before he was back in the air, despite Ratchet originally saying that it would have been three.
"Is there something that you need Ally?" I jumped slightly before fake glaring up at Optimus. The giant, flame designed Autobot was looking down at me in concern. Behind Abbie he had to be my best friend and I would go to him for advice a lot. His never ending repertoire of wise sayings and moral boosting speeches had earned him the nick-name of Big Buddha among the military.
"Nah, just coming in to say hi" I said "Hi"
Starscream rolled his optics whilst snickering quietly at my randomness "right, I'm off for a fly. Al, do you want to come?"
"Love to but it's my turn on the scanner today. I'll come later" I didn't bother to hold back my groan.
"I pity you" Starscream nodded once before disappearing out of the hanger. I shook my head and heaved a sigh whilst rubbing my eyes.
The scanner had to be the most boring job in the history of boring jobs. Nothing ever happened when I was on it, leaving me staring at a blank screen for hours on end waiting for Decepticons to show up.
I had graduated from high school just over nine months ago and joined NEST. The following months had had to have been the most hectic of my life. Sure, when I was in school I would sometimes head to NEST on the weekends to see if they needed help and if the situation was really dire I would drop out of school, but now that I was a full time member I went on every mission unless I physically couldn't. So far I had been to at least five different countries not including different states of America.
"Watcha doin' squishy?" I rolled my eyes at Sideswipe, or the silver ninja as I called him. The smaller, over-confident and very agile robot wheeled over to me. He was one of the newer Autobots who had answered to Optimus's message. He had landed about a year ago, along with three other Autobots. These three were femmes and triplets, but not the same as normal earth triplets. Apparently it was because of some Decepticon experiment that the main femme, Arcee, had ended up being split into three different parts, each a different aspect of her personality. There was of course Arcee, and then there was Chromia, the bad tempered one and Moonracer, the nicest one in my opinion.
Then there was the twins, Skids and Mudflap. The twins had landed only a few months ago, and I was convinced that they had come purely to make my life a living hell. Foul mouthed, troublesome and constantly fighting the two small stumpy bots were enough to make even Optimus get annoyed. Jazz had threatened them more than once, Ratchet had thrown about a million and one wrenches at them, Ironhide had shot them both on numerous occasions, Abbie had gone after them with her chainsaw and Starscream had very nearly killed them, especially after they had thought that dismantling his thrusters whilst he was re-charging was a good idea. Ratchet had put Starscreams thrusters back together again and the ex-con had taken both twins for a little fly and deposited them somewhere in the middle of nowhere. It had taken them around thirty-six hours to get back and neither of them went near Starscream again.
"Just talking" I answered Sideswipe. The two of us weren't on very good terms and hadn't been from the moment he had first arrived. After he had arrived at base and chosen a vehicle form he had been debriefed by Optimus about what had been happening on Earth. Starscream joining the Autobots had of course been included in the briefing but Sideswipe had disagreed with that and had proceeded to call Starscream a traitor and a spy. Unfortunately for Sideswipe the briefing forgot to mention that I had a very short temper. I had borrowed one of the soldier's guns and had begun chasing Sideswipe around the base, insulting him the whole time. In the end Optimus had picked me up to stop me from killing the new 'bot. Since then Sideswipe had been careful of what he said around me but still looked for ways to bag me out. If he ever did then I would retaliate by later by pulling some sort of prank on him, then the whole thing would start again.
"Anyways I'd better go, I've got a really boring job to do" I pointed to the door "See you guys later"
"Wait a second Ally" There was a whirring of parts and a few seconds later Optimus's holoform was standing beside me "do you mind if I join you?"
I shook my head, grateful for the company that he would bring. Optimus pulled up a chair beside me as I plonked myself in front of the scanner with a very loud sigh. It was so loud that a few of the other men working around me turned and looked. I sent them an apologetic smile and turned back to the scanner. Optimus glanced over his shoulder at the other people around then leant forward on the desk so he could get a better look at the screen in front of us.
When I decided he wasn't watching I snuck a glance at Optimus's holoform. He had short, somewhat spiked brown hair, his eyes now still matched his optics when he was in robot form, the royal blue glowing, lighting up the area around his eyes. He had a few thin scars on his face, the evidence of the years he had spent fighting, the worst being one just over his right eye. He was tall for a human but not overly so, clearing the six-foot mark but not by too much. He wore a plain grey tee-shirt and his jacket matched his vehicle paintwork, what with the dark blue back ground and red flames.
"Are you sure you're alright?" I jerked, startled when Optimus spoke again. He was watching me with concern "You keep zoning out and you look very tired"
"Yeah, I'm fine"
Optimus raised his eyebrows, looking very unamused. I scowled at him for a second before resigning. I rested my head in my hands.
"I've just been having this really weird nightmare. It's the same one every night, but sometimes it changes a little with where I am. It's always black to start with, then I see faces and for some reason it sort of feels like you're there, then I see the eyes. They're golden at first but then I see symbols for about half a second and the eyes have changed to red. I always wake up after that" I shrugged, trying to seem as if I couldn't care less. Optimus held my gaze for a few seconds and nodded.
"You say it's the same dream?"
"Every time" I said
Optimus remained thoughtful for a few seconds before I notice the pinging noise. I dropped the conversation and looked back at the scanner. On the screen a small red dot was visible.
"Optimus take a look at this" I waved him over. The Prime leaned in a bit closer to see the screen, his head nearly touching mine.
"That's a Decepticon signal" He breathed. I nearly jumped out of my seat in excitement. Finally some action, whilst I was on the scanner. I clapped my hands over my mouth to prevent from squealing.
"Where is it?" I asked
Optimus peered a little closer at the screen "It looks like Shanghai"
What do you think huh? Pretty lame boring first chapter but it's going to get better. Hopefully.
Please read and review and I will see you when I have the next chapter ready!
