Authors Note: I don't know if I like this or not. I originally wrote a much longer version of this, which was very, very choppy. I didn't like it nearly as much. I'm still on the fence on this one though. It still seems kind of choppy, but it's a lot better than the other one. This is in Tonk's point of view during the Battle of Hogwarts. It might seem a little OOC, because Tonks is really tough. I thought, though, that seeing how much she loves Remus in the books (when she went totally depressed in Half Blood Prince) that seeing him die might send her into a (sadly temporary) state of depression. I also learned in Health class that shock is a stage of depression...or maybe not. I don't really remember. I might be mixing it up with depression...anyway, I figured she'd be really upset when Remus died. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own anything! J.K Rowling owns the wonderful Harry Potter universe and it's characters. I don't even own the actual story, because I'm writing it on a school computer.

Down down down.

She saw him beside her

The flash of green light

The expression of shock frozen forever on his face

And then he fell

Collapsed on the ground

Never to stand again

When he fell, she fell too

Into a black hole

Grief buried her as she realized

They would never talk again

Hug again

Kiss again

Teddy would never know his daddy

She was frozen

Paralyzed

Stuck

Immobile

She stood there for a while

Unable to move

Until she heard her aunt cackle behind her

She was jeering

Her body unfroze

As she shot curse after curse at her aunt

Trying to get revenge

On the people who killed her husband

Who had ruined her life

She fought hard

Her thought never wavering from Remus and Teddy

Her family

The revenge she needed to get

And the world her son should live in

She fought hard

But she couldn't win

As she saw the flash of green light

Racing

Speeding

Rushing towards her

Eager to take her life

Time slowed down

And her life flashed before her eyes

Playing with her father

Shopping with her mother

Talking with her friends at Hogwarts

"What had they talked about?"

She found herself thinking

Something that surely didn't matter now

Not when she was milliseconds away from her death

Yet somehow, it did matter

She saw training with Mad-Eye

Laughing with the Weasleys

Christmas with the Order

Holding Teddy

And Remus was everywhere

The first time they'd met

Their patrols and guards together

Their dates

Their wedding

Spending time with Teddy

Recalling these happy times

Made her at peace

She welcomed death

Bittersweet as it was

She was so sad she wouldn't know her son

That she had left him

But she wanted to be with Remus again

And all her friends that had already

Left this life

So she welcomed death

With a peaceful smile

With a twinge of sadness in her eyes

And everything went black

And peaceful

Oh so peaceful

She was at peace

Forever

Author's Note Numero Dos: So there you have it. Please let me know what you think. I also have another Remus and Tonks fic called Until the End. I'm kind of obsessed with their death, for some reason. I have some other stories planned too. Please, please, please review. I recently wrote a bucket list with my friend, (I'm not dying, it was just for fun) and on it I put "Get 100 reviews on fanfiction! I probably won't get 100 reviews on this, but I would love it so much if I did. So please review. Thank you! Oh, and Happy Easter, if you celebrate Easter. If not, happy getting a few days off of school!
