Please, Handle With Care
Chapter One: Shaky Hands, Meeting My Hero! Deku can be read as Friend.
A.N: This plot bunny hopped in when I wrote this, what if there was a hero that had a disability on top of the Quirk?
It will be reminiscent of Cerebral Palsy, and the Pairings are up for decision.
Renaru Bakugou wasn't anywhere near as explosive as his brother Katsuki, due to being a little on the… calmer side of the spectrum. He was practicing his handwriting, his shaky hands making the writing crooked and difficult to read. What made it harder was that his mom and brother were arguing as his father just sat there reading the paper.
"Mom! Katsu! I can't concentrate!" He yelled, glaring angrily at them.
"Sorry, sweetie!" Mitsuki called to her younger son, he was a surprise twin.
Katsuki just stopped shouting and went back to what he was doing before, watching his twin practice so very carefully, with razor sharp focus.
"You're doin' good, kiddo." Renaru's dad praised, watching over his shoulder.
"Thanks, Dad." Renaru said, smiling as he pulled at the white bands around his wrists, the skin under them hot and a bit sweaty.
"Ew! You really gotta air 'em out in here?!" Katsuki yelled.
"It bothers me, it itches a bit…" Renaru sighed, continuing his writing practice.
"It's a little weird that Ren's so good at drawing, but not writing…" Katsuki growled.
"Some people are better at things than others, your brother just has an artist's touch. He uses his shaking hands to his advantage when it comes to that." Mitsuki explained as Renaru happily cheered, "Done!"
Mitsuki looked at the paper, seeing that her younger son's handwriting really improved.
"Hmm, you've gotten better at writing, kiddo." Mitsuki commented.
"Really?! Yay!" Renaru cheered happily as he got up from his chair and pushed it in.
'My little firework, you really have…' Mitsuki thought as he hugged her tightly, separating and going into his room.
Her only hope was that he'd not lose it and blow up the school during the year. His quirk was exactly like his brother's but with a much higher payload. The bands helped to hold back the blasts, too. He sure did eat a lot, too...
"Hey, Katsu! Come see my wall!" Renaru yelled to his brother.
Katsuki came over to see his brother's wall, where there were so many handwriting sheets in the shape of the number one-hundred and ten pinned to the wall.
"Whasthat mean?" Katsuki asked.
"It means I'll give one-hundred and ten percent to everything I do! I wanna become a hero like Endeavor! He's so cool!" Renaru cheered, picking up an action figure of the hero he had gotten for their birthday.
"All-Might is better!" Katsuki snapped back.
"Still, Endeavor and All-Might give it their all, I remember watching that interview with Endeavor in it where he talked about where his inspiration for being a hero was!" Renaru cheered.
"Imma go practice!" Renaru yelled, running out of the room.
"Wait, Ren!" Katsuki yelled. Dashing after him.
Renaru didn't stop, taking off his bands. Aiming at a pile of bricks at an old construction site, his hands shaking and sparking.
*BANG!* he missed, hitting the pile of beams, sending them sky-high.
"Dang it!" he yelled, feeling his hidden rage, he started to blow up the area around him in his frustration. Not hitting the pile of bricks at all.
"I don't wanna be held back by this!" he yelled.
He was so preoccupied by him blowing things up that he didn't notice the villain coming up behind him.
"REN! LET HIM GO!" Katsuki yelled, running into the site.
The villain's hands were cold on Renaru's neck as he thrashed, panicking and blowing things up.
'Mom! Dad! Somebody help!' Renaru thought as Katsuki couldn't get close enough to try to free him due to his panicking explosions.
This was bad, there were times where Enji wouldn't admit that, but now was one of those times. He had been fighting a villain who ran into an abandoned construction site, seeing a corona of explosions clearing the area out.
He ran towards the area, seeing a young blond-haired boy trying to fight the villain as a boy with dark brown hair thrashed in the villain's hold.
"Help my brother! He's with that villain! I can't get close enough to get him out!" the blond boy yelled to him.
Enji sprung into action, walking through the explosions as the kid still thrashed.
"Don't come any closer, or I'll cut him open!" The villain warned, a blade popping out of his arm, held against the kid's neck.
"Endeavor!" The kid yelled, tears were streaming from his eyes as Enji smirked.
"It's gonna be okay, kid. Just hang on." Enji growled.
He looked around the area as the other kid caused a distraction.
"Smart kid!" Enji said, advancing as the villain jerked back in pain as the hostage freed himself, running into the hero's arms.
"Wahh!" he cried.
The other boy ran forwards too, holding two white bands and pulling them on his brother's wrists as Enji tried to put the kid down.
He just held on tighter, crying still.
Enji knew the kid was scared, and that he was a fan from the way he brightened up a bit when he showed up.
His youngest was the same age as this one. He'd never really had to comfort scared kids before.
"It's gonna be okay…?" Enji tried, faltering a bit as the other boy looked up at him.
"My bro always latches on to people he feels are safe. It'll be awhile before he lets go." he explained as his brother nodded against Enji's shoulder.
"What were you doing out here?" Enji asked, his tone gentle, as not to scare the kid more, he even extinguished his fire beard.
"T-training to b-be a hero like you… You're my favorite hero! Even though Katsu thinks All-Might is better!" the kid stuttered.
Enji chuckled at that as he put the boy down, kneeling down to his level.
"Look kid, always believe that you're doing more than your best, then go beyond your best, ascend to even greater heights." The hell-flame hero said, reigniting his fiery beard.
"Even with my shaky hands?" he asked innocently, his red eyes looking into Enji's, looking for an answer that his parents always avoided.
"Yes, you can. When you took out that villain, I saw potential in you, in BOTH of you to become heroes. Just keep doing more than your best." Enji said, he was actually being honest about all of it.
He walked away as Renaru waved after him, "THANK YOU, ENDEAVOR!" he yelled.
Katsuki grabbed his brother's hand as they walked back to the house, seeing their mother waiting out front, "Renaru, Katsuki, where have you two been?" she sternly said.
"Mom, I was training, and as I was doing that… a villain grabbed me and it was so scary! But Endeavor saved me! And Katsu too!" Renaru cheered, smiling widely.
A loud growl sounded from his stomach.
"Still, you two would have gotten hurt if Endeavor wasn't nearby at the time. I'm just glad you two are safe." Mitsuki sighed, hugging her boys, with Katsuki starting to thrash around angrily.
"Lemme go! Lemme go, you old hag!" he snapped.
Renaru grabbed his brother by the shirt collar and pulled him back into the hug.
There was a boy that Renaru was best friends with, his name was Izuku, he was quirkless, but that didn't stop him from being his friend.
"Deku! I have an idea!" Renaru yelled as they played at the playground in their neighborhood.
"What?" The green-haired boy asked.
"You can be my guy in the chair! That guy with all of the blueprints and all of that junk! We'll be unstoppable!" Renaru called.
"Bro! What're you doing hanging out with Deku?" Katsuki snapped, grabbing Renaru and making him latch on to him.
"I just wanted to help! He doesn't have a Quirk! I'm trying to give him ideas about what he can do when I become a hero!" Renaru spat.
"No! Quirkless like him can't be heroes! Let's go, Ren." Katsuki practically ordered.
He dragged his feet, "Katsu, a hero never looks down on others! They can be built! Like that Iron Man from years ago!" Renaru yelled.
Katsuki just dragged his brother away from Deku, growling.
Renaru and Katsuki went home, with Renaru going to his room.
He opened up his sketchbook, going to Katsuki's drawing.
"I used to like you, Katsu. I really did, but… maybe you're not fit to become a hero with me…" he sighed, placing a shaky hand on the paper. He looked up at his 110 on the wall and pinned the picture at the bottom with the terrible ones.
"I'm gonna blow this world away, and if that means I break away from you, I'll do it!" Renaru vowed, for his friend, Izuku, he'd do all he could to make him feel better.
Deku… could also be read as 'friend'
He adjusted his wristbands, loosening them as he walked into the living room and plopped down on one of the couches.
Mitsuki noticed her younger son's distress, normally he'd be holding his 'Special Book' and drawing to his heart's content.
"Sweetie, what's wrong?" she asked.
"I wish Katsu wouldn't be so mean to Izuku! He just pulls me away from him whenever we see him... is he really quirkless?" Renaru asked.
Mitsuki shrugged, she really didn't know, but she couldn't imagine that Katsuki would be bullying someone... he was so protective around Renaru, who always trained. He was getting better with his handwriting and his aim.
He just went out for about an hour, came home, ate like a horse, then went back to his room to draw before sleep.
Her boys were opposite sides of the same coin. Nothing would ever change that.
