Author: the idea for this just came yesterday, and I really liked it; so here is my first Kingdom Hearts fic.
Kingdom Hearts II: How it should have ended.
Riku and Sora sat on the edge of the dark realm. They stared out to the moonlit horizon, they were all alone, and soon enough, they would be swallowed by the darkness that they had resigned themselves to for the preservation of the light; and now they were stuck on this godforsaken beach.
They closed their eyes, awaiting the inevitable. But, Riku felt something bump into his foot softly, he looked at it in surprise; it was a bottle, and when he looked closer, there was a roll of paper inside... he uncorked the bottle and removed the paper. What he read suddenly made him smile.
"Sora"
"Hmm?"
"I think it's for you..." Riku handed the message to Sora.
Sora read aloud:"Thinking of you where ever you are... we pray for out sorrows to end; and hope that our hearts will blend." He knew this hand writing, and he felt as if he could hear her saying this out loud as she wrote it, "Now I will step forward and realize this wish. And who knows? Starting a new journey may not be that hard; or maybe its all ready begun... There are many worlds, but they share the same sky; one sky, one destiny. – Kairi.
Sora stared at the paper, a message from Kairi? He re-read it, it filled him with such a warmth that he felt he would burst. He felt so filled with warmth that the shadows that had been encroaching on them, suddenly vanished.
Then a light shined in front of them, not the pale light of the moon, but warm welcoming light from the sun.
Riku didn't know what happened here, "Light?"
"The Door to Light..." said Sora in awe, he stood up so suddenly that Riku started, "We'll go together."
Like Riku wanted to stay in this dump anyway. "Yeah."
They walked into the light and in a flash they were gone.
The Ocean
As the sun set over the islands, two shooting stars soared down from the sky. They landed in the water with a small splash, and who should pop their heads out of the water? None other than Sora and Riku.
They looked around, eyes dazzled by the bright light, blinking water out of their eyes.
"Sora! Riku!" shouted a very familiar voice.
They turned around. How could they not have seen it? It was the Destiny Islands, and on the beach was Kairi!
They shouted in happiness and swam as quickly as they could to shore. Then with a cheer, King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy popped out of nowhere and ran to Sora and Riku. Mickey jumped into Riku's arms and hugged him like an old friend, but as for Sora...
'Oh hell no!' he thought, he ducked to avoid Donald, and jumped clean over Goofy's head.
"Hey! What's the big idea?!" Shouted Donald indignantly; they forgave Sora though, when they saw where he was heading..
He ran right up to Kairi, he grabbed one of her hands and planted a kiss right on her lips.
Initially Kairi was surprised, but quickly decided Sora was getting into the right attitude of things; Kairi didn't care if everyone was watching, she placed her other hand on his chest, popped her leg, and they spent two full minutes exploring the insides of each others mouths with their tongues.
When they separated, Kairi noticed that Sora had left her charm behind in her hand.
"Sora... please... never leave me again." she whispered.
"C'mon Kairi!" Sora said with a small laugh as he placed his hand on her heart, "How can I leave again? I was never gone in the first place."
With that, they sealed the promise in another kiss; two hearts, as one.
End
