Hello, readers! So I had this story floating around in my mind for a long time and decided to finally right it. It's a one-shot basing around Narcissa and Bellatrix Black. The Black Sisters are some of my favorite Harry Potter characters (but this story has none of Andromeda) overall. So, don't worry if you are a subsriber, I am not stopping "A Beautiful Problem". Just taking a breather.
The creaking of a door opening filled the night around the Black Manor. The sound of grass rustling beneath walking feet was faint, but it could be heard if you were listening for it.
A young woman ran across the ground, as if trying to get as far away from the beautiful house as possible. Her long, dark curls waved behind her as she ran.
"Bella!"
The girl stopped. Her dark eyes darted around the shadows.
"Bella," the frantic, broken voice called out again.
Just then, another girl stepped out of the shadows and into the moonlight. Her ivory skin glowed even brighter in the lunar shine. She had long, icy blonde hair and sparkling grey eyes.
"Cissy," Bella hissed, grabbing the young girl by the shoulders and shaking her, "What are you doing here? Do you have any idea how foolish you are being?"
Silvery, translucent tears fell from the young girl's eyes.
"Do you have any idea how foolish your being?" Cissy sobbed, looking at her sister incredulously, "You-you are out of your mind, Bella. You're going to be a… a Death Eater!"
Bella growled and threw the bag she was holding on the ground. She looked downright… evil.
"Cissy, you don't get it. You're too young to comprehend. Now, go inside."
The young girl began to weep and plead.
"Bella… I've already lost Andy," Cissy begged, taking her sisters hand, "I c-can't lose you, too."
Bella looked resolutely at her baby sister, shivering in her nightgown.
"Cissy," Bella said firmly, "You'll never understand. This is something I have to do. I am not a child anymore. This is my life. Not yours. Not Mum's. Not Dad's. Not anyone's. Mine."
Bella's voice was firm and final. Her dark eyes were set and Cissy finally realized: there was no changing her mind.
Cissy took a step back, tears still clinging to her blonde eyelashes.
"I'm sorry then, Bella," Cissy said weakly, taking a few steps backward, still locking her eyes with her sister, "But you've chosen you're side. And I've chosen mine."
With that, Cissy walked back inside her house and closed the door. She slid down against the wood and cried until the sunlight starting to touch the clouds in the sky. Bella was long gone and she doubted she would ever come back. The realization of it all reproduced more tears.
Narcissa Black was an only child.
(sniffle... sniffle) So sad! Well, did you like it? Did you hate it? Review and tell me you're opinion :)
