Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, I'm not J.K, But I do own Ember and Alana Lambert
My first story that I wrote ever, so please be nice, but review..
"Ember dammit, will you cut that out" Alanah said, as she watched her twin sister pace the hospital's waiting room carpet.
"No I will not, they won't tell us what the heck is going on and I want to know now!" Ember shouted angrily, stomping a foot; as she glared at nurses and doctors as they walked by.
"Ms Lambert?" Asked a man with blond hair. There was a lady next to him, staring sadly at the two girls that stood in front of her.
"That's us" Ember replied coldly, Alana rolled her eyes at her antics.
"I'm Doctor Camisole and this is Melinda Houston, she is a social worker with the the New York City social services" Dr. Camisole said and Ember and Alana frowned, bewildered.
"Why would we need a social worker, our mother's fine isn't she?" Alana asked, worriedly, she glanced at Ember.
Doctor Camisole looked at Alana "Ms. Lam..." he started, but Ember cut him off.
"NO!, tell us that our mother is fine, right now!.
"Ms. Lambert" Doctor Camisole tried to say calmly, but he had two young ladies in front of him that were glaring at him. Ms. Houston finally came into the conversation. "I've very sorry you two, you mother didn't make it." The doctor looked at her relieved that she had told them.
Ember and Alana looked at each other, there were tears in both of their eyes, but you couldn't tell with Ember. Tears started falling down Alana's face.
"But... she was just fine" Alana cried, not understanding how her mother could have died.
Both the doctor and Ms. Houston looked at them with pity on their faces. Doctor Camisole, because he was always emotionally attached to his patients and Ms. Houston, because she had a daughter Alana and Ember's age and she wouldn't want her daughter to go through what the two had.
"Then where are we going?" Alana asked quietly, she knew that if her mother was dead, then she knew that they could end up in an orphanage, then separated, she didn't want that. Ember glanced at Alana, knowing the same thing. She would not allow her sister and her to be split up, she would do everything to make sure that didn't happen, even running away.
Ms. Houston tilted her head and smiled sadly. "We found a letter in your mother's personal items indicating that if anything happened to her, then someone should contact your real father." She looked over their reactions as she replied.
Both Alana and Ember looked at each other, one feeling betrayed while the other was nonplussed. They had been told by their mother that their father had been dead ever since before they were born, why had she lied to them.
"We've contacted him and you will be going to London in a few weeks, he will meet you at the airport." Ms. Houston told them, not mentioning how sarcastic and horrible he had been. She handed them two plane tickets and passports.
"Thank you" Alana mumbled, crying still. "Yeah thank you" Ember retorted mockingly.
They were both allowed into the hospital room for one last goodbye, then a week later they went to their mother's funeral. Alana sobbed on her sister's shoulder, while Ember never shed a tear.
Two weeks after the funeral, they went to the airport with Ms. Houston, she told them to not cause trouble or talk to strangers.
"Now your father is suppose to be dressed in all black and he has black hair also." She told them, hurrying away. They shrugged and walked to the airplane, on their way to a new life.
