Love, Death, Murder, Suicide.

Murder never really was his thing. He admits, however, that as long as none of the people he actually interacts with are harmed – that is to say, his mother and his fiancée - he does not mind that his so-called father sometimes goes ballistic and goes on a killing spree every now and then. This, however… This is too much. His father has crossed the line. She is not supposed to be involved. "She knows too much," his father said. "We have to get rid of her, or we'll all be goners."

And now, there she is, at gunpoint, and yet still smiling. "You're going to kill me, aren't you?" she asks, and as he shakes his head no, a tear escapes and lands on the floor, because he knows he's lying to her, and he never liked that, not really. "It's alright," she says, because she knows he has no choice, and she understands. "I forgive you." He nods, points his gun at her, closes his eyes, and pulls the trigger. There is a loud bang, and a soft thud, and he flinches. He then turns to his father, the one who made him lose her, and smirks. "See you in hell" are his parting words, and he pulls the trigger, and his own lifeless body falls to the floor.

Whew. I wrote this as an English assignment in June, and my inspiration was Dramione, so I thought, hey, why not. We were given plenty of word prompts and were allowed to choose as many as we want and use them in any context or even as just an influence; the specific word prompt doesn't even necessarily have to appear in the two paragraphs requested. I am particularly proud of this piece because as I read this to my class (big disappointment to me, really, that only the substitute marked me, as my real teacher would probably have given me the mark that I was aiming for), I managed to get everyone's attention not because they have to, but because they were enamored with my story, save perhaps of the fact that I was the only one who wrote a narrative. So I posted this not because I want reviews (although they would be appreciated, certainly!), but because I'm proud of it, and after reading so many Dramione fanfiction, I finally have the perfect piece to contribute. :)
