He'd always prided himself on being able to hold himself back from letting his emotions escape. Right now he felt as if he was going to break, shatter into a million pieces. His chest tightened as he fought against the pain, fighting against the well of emotion that threatened to boil over and drown him. His resolve was holding strong…that was until her words found his ears.

A shiver raced up his spine, causing him to straighten, his shoulders visibly shaking as he turned his head away from hers. How could he break so easily in front of this woman? This woman that he found so fascinating…this woman that he just…admitted his feelings to…he was letting her see right through his walls and he wasn't sure what he should do next.

His adam's apple bobbed once more before he turned to look at her, he did not realize it, but he looked like a broken shell of a man. He looked…like a child that had just lost everything in a matter of seconds, having nothing to his name, no where else to turn…and no one to embrace him and tell him that everything would be alright.

Those crystalline orbs, those piercing eyes slowly began to alter. That facade' that he wore his entire life suddenly broke before her very eyes as he took a few steps closer to her, his stride hesitant. Like a wounded animal slowly approaching someone who said they would aid it. Unsure if they should trust them or not.

He looked to her, his eyes suddenly becoming those of a child… this male, so proud, was little more than a child wearing the mask of a man. He stood before her now, unsure of his next move, his chest rising and falling with each heavy breath he took. His heart seemed to have been shattered, the broken pieces could be seen on his face and in his eyes. No words need be said, he could hear the uncertainty in her voice, she didn't know what to do either. So he would do what he had been yearning to do…for so long…

The Cerulean male gently pulled her into his arms, threading his hand through her head as he buried his face in the crook of her neck, his chest trembling as he kept a tight reign on his control. Not wanting to just break fully. No. He wanted to remember everything of this moment. This was his journey…his journey at becoming a better man…hopefully a man that could stand before his twin…his brother and ask him for another chance. Another chance at starting over…at repairing what he had cruelly broke.
