LOST IN INSANITY

Fallen angels at my feet

My angel…Tara was pleading for me at my feet. I was scared. Was it my imagination? My mind raced as I ran through the cemetery as my named was called by who knows what. I will not give in. But death had another plan for me. I ran again, tripped over who knows what and still getting on my feet. And running. But then I realized.

No one can outrun death.

Whispered voices at my ear

Voices were calling for me…seeking me…and wanting me. Leaves rustled as I stepped over them and I felt like eyes were following me wherever I went. Buffy was nowhere in sight nor anyone else. Only me and my shadow. I had to get away from them. I had no frigging clue where I was and what was chasing me.

I knew what was chasing me. It was death.

Death before my eyes.

"BUFFY!" I called out. I soon came upon two dead bodies in a clearing. It was Buffy and Xander. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

They were horribly mutated and disfigured. I ran again. I looked past my shoulder and didn't pay attention so I tripped on my foot and fell flat on my face, scrapping my chin hard. I closed my eyes and went on my side and panted.

Lying next to me I fear.

I opened my eyes to see Tara and Anya's rotting dead bodies, smiling at me. One of Tara's eyeballs fell out. Tara's long finger made some words in the air. It said 'Don't Be Afraid.' How could I not be afraid? Rattlesnakes started wrapping themselves around my arms and one of them bit me. I shrieked.

She beckons me shall I give in?

Tara's voice called me and told me to walk into a light. Next thing I knew, a blinding light was ahead of me wanting for me to reach my end. Will I give in? There was nothing to live for anyways. Everyone was gone and on the other side I will be safe with Tara…will I? I didn't care. I took a step toward the light as the rattlesnakes died suddenly and slid off my arms. The puncture of the rattlesnake bite faded away.

Forsaking all I've fallen for I rise to meet the end.

With every step I took towards the light, the light moved backwards away from me. A gun appeared in my hand. I couldn't go into the light until I was dead. I took the gun and pointed at my head. The last things I saw was the white light turning a black and red. It wasn't heaven. It was really an eternity of hell in disguise. But before I realized this. It was too late.
