Lunick watched Solana.

They were on their way back to the Ringtown Ranger Base, returning after a mission. Plusle had ridden on Solana's shoulder, but was on the ground, leaping around with Minun.

Lunick had heard other rangers commenting on how he and Solana mirrored how they felt about each other in their partner Pokemon. But watching them now, the two Pokemon seemed to be teasing each other, like they were flirting…or in love.

Lunick wished that was how it could be with him and Solana. And it wasn't that he didn't like Solana, actually the opposite. He liked her. A lot.

He liked her blue hair- what, it was unusual?- her bright eyes, and her confident smile. Lunick knew that like most female rangers, Solana didn't have much time to spend on her looks. But that wasn't just it, either.

Lunick liked how brave she was. Solana was confident and skilled with a Styler. She was fun to be around. She had determination. She and him, they had saved the whole freaking Fiore region! Charizard, Entei, Suicune….

And those were only a few reasons.

Lunick had never met a ranger like her. His crush hadn't just started after they became the heroes of Fiore, it had been since…well, since they met.

However, Solana's density was daunting.

Much as he admired her, Solana's density when it came to love was astounding. Lunick had tried to tell her about his crush, but it hadn't really worked…she didn't pick up on it. When Murph and Aria laughed and made fun of them when they were together, Solana didn't get that either. She usually just laughed with them.

She was unobtainable. And Lunick hoped to change that.

Of course, Solana's clueless-ness when it came to love wasn't entirely the problem…Lunick didn't acknowledge the fact that he was somewhat shy about the matter too and not blunt enough to tell it to Solana's face.

Two people, who've been through so much together, one too dense and the other too shy, unable to realize their love.

Well, no one ever said love was easy.

Solana and Lunick had reached the Ringtown Ranger Base. Solana looked over at Lunick. He looked completely lost in thought, observing Plusle and Minun as they played together. Solana had been chattering about random things for quite sometime before stopping.

Lunick hadn't seemed to notice.

Solana wasn't sure how to feel about that.

As they entered the base, Solana ran a hand through her blue hair. It was a little messed up after their mission, and normally she wouldn't have noticed until she was ready to go to sleep.

But it was that, for some reason, whenever she was around Lunick, she felt like brushing her hair…or straightening her clothes…or asking if they could patrol together…

For some reason, that made Murph and Aria laugh at them. Lunick would always go red in the face when that happened, and he just looked so cute Solana couldn't help laughing at him too.

It still felt weird though. Solana decided that she would ask Aria. She had all the answers.

Solana picked up Plusle from where it was playing with Minun. "Come on." She said. "We should go report back to Spenser." "Pluuuu!" Plusle responded cheerfully.

Minun reacted the same with Lunick, and both him and Solana laughed.

A smile…

A quick exchange…

I like it like this…

If it could become more…

I wonder if he'd like it too….

A/N: So, my first fan fiction! :D And yay for completely cheesy endings. But I really love Rangershipping, and it just doesn't get enough love. Hopefully Lunick and Solana weren't too OOC….anyway, please read and review!
