Seimei was a man of both few and many words

Seimei was a man of both few and many words. It all depended upon the person and situation. But it wasn't only the words that were spoken with one's tongue that the young man loved so much. He was a word nerd in all its truth. Stories, written and spoken, typed and printed, were all his passion. If you were to walk into his room, you would find books of all variety. There would be philosophy, Greek mythology, fantasy books, and even manga.

Ritsuka had a habit of walking in when Seimei just opened a book for the night. Of course, he would welcome his younger brother into his bed with all the enthusiasm he could possibly give. After all, he was the one who loved Ritsuka the most. Why should they not share everything?

And so, Ritsuka would climb into the bed and curl up next to Seimei and Seimei would continue to read whatever it was that he had opened. The soft sound of the pages flipping would echo off the walls, and Ritsuka's quiet breath vibrated off of Seimei's neck.

Seimei wouldn't have changed anything.

He was Beloved. He was the strongest. He was God. Of that, Seimei was for certain. People loved him, which was both obvious and to be expected. Soubi was the perfect Fighter. He listened, did what he was told and didn't question the master. A perfect pet in Seimei's opinion.

But even just winning wouldn't satisfy Seimei enough. Beloved needed more then just victory. Beloved needed superiority. They needed blood.

And so, after the opponent was out cold, their blood slowly easing its way to Seimei's shoes, he would bend down and envelop his fingers in the sweet substance. "Disgusting," he would say, and with a smile on his face Seimei would turn to walk away. "It's like a story, isn't it Soubi? The good guy always wins."

That night at the Academy, Ritsuka ran to his arms. "You're back, Brother!"

"Yes, I'm back." Seimei answered a smile on his face. "I told you, didn't I?" He kissed the top of his dear Ritsuka's head. "I told you. At the end of a good story, the good guy always comes back. I'm back now, Ritsuka. We can go to our own world now."

Seimei kissed Ritsuka's jawline and scooped the boy into his arms. It was the perfect ending.
