A/N: While working on Chapter 4 of His Next Life, I took a quick break to write a drabble, and this was the result. Enjoy, and please review if you think I should take more quick breaks J
Disclaimer: I don't own TMI. Obviously.
Alec knew very well he was the latest in a long line. He knew that he was just another experience. But he trusted Magnus and himself enough to know he had Magnus' heart.
Alec was just one of many. But he was special.
This restaurant was one they'd been to before. It was one of their favorites. It served good food and an atmosphere that seemed to ring with laughter from dates past. The couple sat in their usual booth and ate their favorite dishes, talking and laughing.
It was one of many dates. But it was special.
After dinner they went home to watch a movie. They cuddled on the couch, absorbed in each other more than the movie.
Near the end of the movie, before the credits, a ring was produced from a pocket by shaking fingers. An unpracticed declaration of eternal love was cut short by a very practiced kiss.
Big, startling, cobalt blue eyes looked deep into golden-green ones and the world fell away. Secrets were divulged and accepted unquestioningly without a single word. Lips brushed once, twice, fell into a rhythm as natural as breathing. Breath caught in throats and air was suddenly unnecessary. Hands touched faces, backs, fingers through hair.
They rocked back and forth, lost in each other, only breaking apart to declare promises and vow eternal love and devotion to each other. Happiness and love filled them both, stronger than any magic.
It was just one of many kisses. But it was oh, so special.
The End
