Grover's point of view
"Grover, take Annabeth and go!" Thalia shouted withdrawing her spear.
On the first sight of the Kindly One I had automatically grabbed Annabeth's little hand and pulled her out the line of danger.
Luke stood next to Thalia, his sword drawn and ready for monster dust.
"It's the ugly one, we can take her," said Luke.
"No wait, look," Thalia drew their attention to the other hill where two more Furies stood.
"Where did they come from? We got them back in Chicago!" Luke said in disbelief.
Thalia just shook her head, "We can't take all three, two maybe."
"The camp is just over that hill behind us. If we run, we can get help," I said.
"We can't outrun a Kindly One, they can fly," said Thalia. Her mind was buzz, running through ideas. There was no ounce of fear that I could pick up which eased my terrified brain.
"So what are we going to do?" Luke asked.
"Thalia, I'm scared." Annebeth tighten her grip my on hand.
"Don't worry Annabeth, I'll protect you," Thalia flashed Annabeth a quick smile.
"Why aren't they moving?" I asked.
"Because they know they got us trapped," Luke said in a pessimistic tone.
"Hey! None of that. Here's what we are going to do. Grover, you and Annabeth are going to make a run for Camp. Find who ever you can find and bring help. Luke, you're going with them."
"What?" Luke rejected.
"I need someone there to protect them in case another on of our friends shows up," Thalia said firmly.
"It's only over the hill!" Luke complained, "They'll be fine!"
"I'm not taking that chance, Luke" said Thalia.
"What about you? You can't defeat three Kindly Ones on our own."
"I'm not trying to defeat them, just hold them off until you guys return. I can that. I am a daughter of Zeus," Thalia added.
"I'm not taking that chance," Luke replied.
"Thalia, I don't think this is a good idea," I added.
"Grover, as my keeper, I am ordering you to take Annabeth and Luke and get out of here," Thalia ordered. She used I tone I have never heard her used before. There was angry and fight, but under it all was a bit of fear. Not fear of getting hurt or failing, but fear of losing the one thing she cares most about than everything else in the world, her family.
"Alright Thalia," I answered her.
"Thalia," Annabeth let go of my hand and hugged Thalia, "I want to fight! I can do it! You have been teaching me…"
"No Annabeth, you're still too young. Besides I need you to protect Grover, you know how useless he can be sometimes, ok?" Thalia smiled, running her free hand through Annabeth's blond hair.
"Ok," Ananbeth let go.
"That's my brave girl. Now all of you get out here," said Thalia.
I once again grabbed Annabeth's hand and pulled her back towards the camp. I took one more glance over my shoulder and saw the three Kindly Ones grouped together now, watching us.
Luke didn't come with us. He just stood there glaring at Thalia.
"Luke, Go!" Thalia commanded.
"I'm not leaving you." Luke was determined.
"Luke, we don't have time for this! The sooner you go the sooner you can return with help!"
"I'm not going!"
"Luke, if you don't go I will never forgive you for leaving Grover and Annabeth alone like this."
Luke stared into Thalia's eyes. "Fine! You are so stubborn!"
Thalia laughed, "Learned it from the best."
Luke turned and ran towards us. He caught up to us quickly (which isn't that hard to do with Annabeth's short seven year old legs and my hooves).
"Come here Annabeth," Luke said and helped Annabeth get on his back. He piggybacked Annabeth and took off running.
"The big white house!" I called being left in the dust. I didn't mind though, I just wanted to get back to Thalia as soon as possible.
Luke ran until he reached the big white house.
I turned around one last time. Thalia was just out of sight when I heard the first Fury's screech.
