Disclaimer- I have no idea why you would think I own Avatar: the Last Airbender, but just in case you do think that I'll make this clear- I do not own Avatar: the Last Airbender, Aang, Sokka, Katara, or cactus juice. But I do own my OC, so I'd appreiciate no one stealing her.

A crisp wind whipped through the night air, rippling the water, pushing it forward and back. A full moon reflected itself on the sea, creating white, choppy waves. A girl stood on the edge of the sandy beach, each grain of sand as white as the foam-covered surf. The ocean seems… forceful tonight, she thought, water sloshing up and around her ankles, almost like hands wrapping themselves around and gripping her ankles tightly, then slowly letting go. It was different then most of the nights when soft, subtle waves would gently rise and lower without thought. Tonight, however, the ocean felt demanding wanting something or perhaps someone. The theory was a bit frightening but also slightly amusing to her, like only being told the first half of a story and not knowing whether the main character was led to victory or death.

The girl's mirror image was looking at her in the ocean, and she noted her pale, delicate features. Her silky granite-black hair gently blew with the breeze, flicking back and forth without much care. Her dark, milky eyes carried a sense of leadership, courage, and bravery. People have always said that the eyes are the windows to the soul. And that's true. But this girl was not a leader or brave or courageous. This was only the mask that covered who she truly was. A mask to protect, to hide was inside of her. She appeared to be a fearless female warrior, but honestly, she was afraid. Her greatest fear, her greatest misfortune, was a dark, morbid secret. Both a secret and a curse because each were the same. Behind this secret was another, both evilly drawn together in such a terrible way, leading to her future, which held no surprise. This girl knew what she has done was wrong but she was loyal, almost like a puppy, always tumbling after their owner without thinking twice.

As the girl looked up at the moon one last time, she saw a pair of sapphire blue eyes, fashioned into a deep glare, then fade slowly away. Before turning away, she noticed the white pearl moon was now a dull gray, covered by shadows.
