Sucre had been slightly amused when Michael had purchased the green and red coloured paper. Through the guards of course, costing three times the price it would at any store. It was worth it to Michael, though.
He'd set straight to the task as soon as he'd gotten it, taking great care as his long fingers delicately folded each crease.
"Yo Papi. What're you doing?"
Michael said nothing to his cellmate, and continued the task, stopping briefly after each fold to make sure he was getting it right. Origami cranes he'd made a hundred times. He could make them in no time without having to think. This... well this was something else.
A satisfied smile came over his face as he stared at the finished product.
"A paper flower?"
"A gift."
"For who?"
Michael turned his head to look at Sucre, who came to stand right behind him. Again he was silent.
"Aint nobody gonna appreciate something like that in a place like this, Fish."
Michael just smiled, spinning the flower between his fingers.
"Maybe somebody will."
