READ BEFORE READING THE CHAPTER -
This was written in 1st person from the viewpoint of Morrigan's son.
This was written under the assumption that the Warden and Morrigan were in love and the Warden accepted her "offer".
This is only a part of a longer story, the rest I haven't completed yet.
Please note that a lot of the dialogue from Morrigan's son is taken from Morrigan's dialogue in-game.
"Well, well, what have we here?..." I said.
I snapped my fingers and the fire ignited quickly illuminating the camp revealing me standing next to my mother's old bed.
"Are you a vulture I wonder, a scavenger poking amidst a corpse who's bones where long since cleaned, or merely an intruder, coming to these darkspawn-filled wilds of mine in search of easy prey?." I said chuckling to myself.
"Who are you?" The Warden asked.
"Tis' cold in my tent." I replied mockingly, ignoring his question.
"Who are you, how do you know about her!" The Warden yelled.
"Am I an unnatural abomination to be put to the torch?" I said further mocking him.
"Stop these games who are I demand you tell me!" he yelled.
"Not now my sweet." I said trying as best I could to replicate my mothers voice, almost breaking out in laughter.
"Stop this at once!" he yelled.
"Very well, mother talks a lot about you." I said.
"Mother? is she someone I should know?" asked the Warden.
"You had a child with her and you don't even know who she is?" I said with fake concern.
"Your my... my son?" asked the Warden.
"I suppose I am aren't I?" I said with my finger to my lip trying to look like i was in deep thought.
"Where's Morrigan? Do you know where she is?" asked my father.
"Why did you do this to her?" I asked, ignoring the question.
"I... I do not know what you ask..."replied father.
"Why did you force my mother into this, you know she didn't want it to continue." I said.
"She told you never to follow and yet, you followed. She told you that love is weakness and that she shouldn't be falling for you but you continued."
"Why is that?"I said, my father who was now obviously holding back tears.
"You miserable selfish bastard!" I yelled as I smacked him across the face.
After an awkward couple minutes I realized that my father wasn't going to reply.
"I will never understand you, and you will never understand me." I said.
I approached the exit of the camp.
"Wait." said father.
"Hmm?" I said turning around.
"Do you love her?" he asked, his voice trembling.
"I... appreciate the things that she's done for me, but no, I do not love her. I can't be bothered with love and other nonsense." I replied.
"If she really loves you, she'll find you." I said as I disappeared into the blackness beyond the camp.
I could hear my father crying over the crackling of the fire as I walked away...
