The wind whistled her ears as she looked down from the rocky ledge of the cliff.
'It's such a long way down'' she thought, but she wasn't afraid.
She shut her eyes, letting the smell if the salty air and cool ocean breeze consume her.
She felt free.
The gentle caw of seagulls up above, the crashing of the waves on the rocks below.
She opened her hazel /green eyes and watched as the seagulls dive bombed each other up above, basking in the warmth of the sunlight on her skin.
'Must be nice' she thought 'to fly free in the wind' she lent further over the rocky ledge. But she wasn't afraid.
She breathed in the cool air, feeling the salty breeze cling to her skin, the salty ocean spray splashing so high it nearly reached her. She watched the deep blue ocean current flow in and out of the bay. She knelt down and stuck her head out. The cool breeze whispering in her ears, raging through her vibrant red curls. But she wasn't afraid.
She shut her eyes once more, feeling the wind resist against her body, trying to push her in all directions.
And then she fell, down from the high ledge into the rocky blue abyss below.
Anyone watching closely enough would see that she had opened her eyes. They were alight with bliss and excitement. She was flying. She was free. She wasn't afraid.
