It was a particularly bright night in Otonizaka.

Maki gazed up at the stars fondly, her telescope resting beside her. She always loved stargazing even though her real passion was music.

"It's beautiful, right?" A voice spoke out next to her, and Maki jumped.

"N-Nozomi! You scared me!" Maki sighed.

"That's what you get for space-ing out so much!" Nozomi laughed, Maki groaning at the pun.

Nozomi sat up as Maki looked back at the stars. After a while, Nozomi spoke again. "Can you tell me the constellations?"

Maki looked over at her, her cheeks tinted pink at the gesture, but pointed up to the sky. "That's Orion's Belt there," she pointed another direction, "and there's the Little Dipper." Nozomi gazed up to where Maki was pointing, and pointed at another star near it. "That's the North Star, right? So if you follow it.. then here's the Big Dipper?"

Maki grinned a little, and nodded. "That's right." Nozomi's hand inched over and laid on top of Maki's, but the other girl did not notice, welcomed it even.

Maki used her other hand to bring the telescope towards the two. "We can see even more constellations in the country, with this telescope."

Nozomi stared at it, then held out her hand for it, which Maki carefully handed over.

For a while, it was just Nozomi looking at stars, taking turns with Maki's telescope, pointing to their favourite stars, until they got tired and just layed in the grass, eyes wandering lazily over the cosmos above.

"Nozomi...Let's look at the stars more often, okay?"
