Ok, so here's the story!

It's Neville x OC, so please do not continue reading if:

1. You hate OCs.
2. You love Neville so so so much that you wouldn't want to see him paired with anyone other than who JK Rowling paired him with.
3. You don't like angst, fluff, and/or a combination of the two.

For those who have kept on reading and skipped over the "do not continue" part, please enjoy. Don't feel too overwhelmed to review! I love them, good and bad.

I Miss You

After the news of Bellatrix Lestrange's escape from Azkaban prison, no one could get through to Neville Longbottom; not even his best friend Willow Lovegood. The Ravenclaw fourth-year would constantly visit the Gryffindor table during lunch and dinner to see if she could get him to eat and talk to her. By the end of the week, she could see bags under his eyes from the lack of sleep he was getting.

One day after classes, Willow decided to talk to her best friend, whether he was going to answer her or not. She searched everywhere for him: the greenhouse, the Great Hall, all the classrooms. She even asked Harry Potter, though she despised him, if he can check the Gryffindor Common Room for him. He was nowhere to be found inside the school, so Willow decided to take her search elsewhere.

She finally spotted Neville sitting on a bench outside the castle. She slowly walked over to him, her bare feet gingerly touching the grass. She silently sat next to him and placed her head on his shoulder. "I'm really worried about you, Neville," she said silently. She looked up at him with her piercing green eyes, starting to tear. "I miss talking to you. I miss listening to the Gryffindor Common Room stories you tell me. I miss seeing you after classes and talking before you go to Potions and I go to Astronomy…" Her voice trailed off as she started to cry. "I don't want you to stop being in touch with reality because Bellatrix escaped. When Harry decided to create the D.A., you didn't even hesitate to sign up. You've been training and I've been helping you. We're going to be the best force against You-Know-Who at Hogwarts. Don't let one escapee ruin your life."

Neville let out a sigh and he looked at the Ravenclaw girl. "Willow, you don't understand. She tortured my parents. They're in St. Mungo's because of her. I'll never know the real them, and they'll never know the real me."

"Nev, I'm sorry, I-" Willow stammered, but was cut off.

"No, Will, it's ok. You didn't know…" he said as he comforted a sobbing Willow. "I know we'll get a chance to take on You-Know-Who, but I'm just scared of what she might do. I don't want her to torture anyone else close to me, especially you."

"Don't worry, Neville. I won't let her lay a finger on me." she laughed awkwardly then looked up at Neville.

The Gryffindor echoed the same laugh, then leaned in and kissed the Ravenclaw quickly on the lips. "I-I-I don't know what came o-over me. I-I'm sorry, I-"

"Sorry?" Willow questioned, cutting him off and smiling. "Don't be sorry." And she leaned in for a longer kiss.
