This is something I just thought of after re-watching some SPD episodes and reading some other Fanfics about MMPR. . . My first Power Rangers Fanfic . . . wish me luck : )
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Power Rangers.
"I want to be a Power Ranger."
'Wait, what? How did talking about school bring this on?' Tommy Oliver thought staring at his six-and-a-half-year-old daughter.
"Where did this idea come from?" Kimberly Hart-Oliver asked.
"I was talking with my friends at school about it, Mama," the girl stated eating more of her dinner.
"And what did your friends say?" Tommy questioned.
"It would be really cool, but we'll have to wait until we're taller. The suits would be too big for us now," the girl said simply.
Tommy and Kim shared a look. 'This better be a phase," it said.
. . .
"I want to be a Power Ranger."
Trini nearly spit out her drink hearing her son say that. 'I shouldn't be surprised by this,' she thought.
"Well, what type of self-defense class do you want to take?" She asked the seven-year-old.
"Huh?" the boy questioned.
"Well, I'm not letting my boy go out there without some training up his sleeve. So, what do you want to do?" Trini asked again.
"Uh. . . do I have to pick now?" he asked.
"Well. . . I do have to talk to your father about this first so . . ." Trini said as the boy ran off to his room. "Oh . . . guess now's a good time to call Billy about this."
~ "Hello Trini," Billy answered.
"Our sun wants to be a Power Ranger," Trini said.
~ "Uh . . . What is your opinion on this?" Billy asked.
"I think it better be a phase," She replied.
. . .
"We're gonna be Power Rangers in SPD!"
Jason stared at his daughter thinking 'here we go.'
Zack stared at his son and thought jokingly 'I blame Jason for this.'
"Ok then," Jason said. "Go and practice."
The kids cheered and went closer to the playground to "spar."
"You're supporting this . . . their mom's will kill us," Zack said watching as his son get tackled by Jason's girl.
"Oh, it's just a phase," Jason said. "Let them have fun with it."
. . .
"I want to be just like you, dad," young Sky Tate said. "I want to be Red Ranger."
The current Red Ranger of SPD looked down at his son and then to his agitated wife.
"We'll see about that, son. But for now, how about you go get your baseball and glove and meet me out front," Sky's father said and his son obeyed.
"It's bad enough you're doing this. I don't want my son in SPD," Mrs. Tate said frustrated.
"I know you and SPD haven't gotten along well after the incident," Mr. Tate said. "But if he wants to dream about being Red Ranger, let him . . . He'll figure out what he really wants to do when he's older."
"I lost myself to SPD, and you go out and risk your life every day," Mrs. Tate said. "I just want him to know what he's getting himself into."
"This could be just a phase," Mr. Tate said.
"We both know that's a lie," Mrs. Tate said smirking. "This is in his blood and there's no changing that."
"DAD! Hurry Up!" Sky yelled.
"Coming!" Mr. Tate yelled, gave a smile to his wife, and ran out to play with his son.
. . .
Well. . . that just came out of nowhere. Please REVIEW! I like seeing what you think. . . for now this will be a one-shot, but if you want more I could go on : ) I hope you enjoyed this : )
