ALONE
She walked slowly into the royal garden, her icy gown swishing faintly in the dying breeze. The sun was swiftly laying to rest, its last rays glinting off the woman's braided platinum hair. Her face bore no emotion, her hands clasped tightly before her.
The path she took went through a translucent-blue gate. Frail, frozen blooms glistened in every direction. She passed a statue, and then another. So lifelike they were, depicting average Arendelle citizens in normal garb, doing everyday tasks. Soldiers stood still in eternal triumph and glory. Merchants held forth their frozen goods which no one could now buy. Farmers bore smiles, joyfully embracing each other. Yet, her path was not done there.
She passed all manner of statues but none held her attention. Soon, in the dark sky, the moon began to rise. The icy flowers now sparkled under the starlight. Frigid trees and bushes reflected the moonlight toward the lone pathway. Yet, undeterred she was by such a mesmerizing sight.
The longer she walked, the more anxious she became. Only now could snowy servants be seen carrying another statue behind her. Her hands fidgeted, she kneaded her braid nervously.
Eventually, she made it to the end of the way and stopped. She quickly looked at the ground, and, trembling, she gulped. Slowly, she raised her gaze.
"I… I hope you l-like it. Y-you always wanted to see-" A faint sob was heard. Suddenly, she realized she was alone. No… not alone. Never alone. She was always here.
She looked around at the garden of statues, and then turned back toward her sister. Stepping forward, she reached her hand out to her sister's cheek. Leaning in for an embrace, she took one more look at eyes colder than her own. She sobbed, clutching her sister tightly.
"N-now… you… w-won't ever have to… be alone… l-like me… Anna."
And there she remained, weeping by the first icy sculpture she ever made.
