A/N: Welcome to the A to Z 100 Word Drabble Series, where every story is approximately 100 words long, and is full of fluff and funniness, and the author's note is nearly as long as the stories themselves. This is a series of drabbles, based on different characters in Harry Potter, using prompts beginning with each of the 26 letters of the alphabet. I am posting them as oneshots, rather than one long chaptered fic because then I can put them in the correct categories, with the proper characters. The full series can be found in my profile. Enjoy!

O- Oddly Clear

Harry had pulled Ginny aside, and told her he had something important to ask her. He had had his whole speech prepared about how much he loved her and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but now, as he sat beside her, on a bench in the Burrow's garden, fingering the small velvet box in his pocket, his mind was a blank. He berated himself silently. His mind went oddly clear under the threat of imminent danger, but when asking his girlfriend to marry him- he had no idea what to do. He wondered if maybe he should persuade Ron and George to come hex him while he proposed, though judging by the look on Ginny's face she might do it for him. After several minutes of Harry attempting to form a coherent thought, Ginny sighed, "Will you just ask me to marry you already?" Harry recovered from the shock after a moment, and did as he was told. He had always loved Ginny for this; she was always very direct and to the point.

A/N: It amused me how JKR wrote in DH how his mind went "oddly clear" like three times, so I made a story out of it. I know, I have a weird sense of humour…
