"Don't look at me like that…"
He was on the floor, aching and tired. He wanted to go home, to see his mom, to eat… The large man in front of him was laughing as he approached. Hisoka making demands was laughable. This man could take whatever he wanted from Hisoka, and he wouldn't be able to refuse. He supposed it didn't matter how the man looked at him.
"Don't look at me like that..."
He was safer this time, but certainly not happy. He was pinning someone down, wrestling their wallet from their pocket. They looked desperate, but not in the way that he sometimes found amusing. This wasn't accusatory or angry, just afraid. It begged for release. Hisoka ended up letting them go.
"Don't look at me like that…"
He was angry. This person had no right to look down on him. He was scrawny but he was fast and he would give any opponent a run for their money. He worked hard to get here. He was a good fighter. He was a good fighter! He was, and he could prove it.
"Don't look at me like that…"
Honestly, begging was such an ugly sight. He wasn't very fond of it. They were crumpled and broken anyway, but at least they would have had their dignity. Now they were just a bloody mess with nothing to them. They could barely even look at Hisoka, and they wasted their last gaze on Hisoka's empathy. It was disgusting, really.
"Don't look at me like that…"
When was the last time he felt this way? When was the last time someone looked at him like this? Had anyone ever pointed such a gaze at him? It was fire and passion in one glare and it was too much for Hisoka. This boy was so good. Hisoka could not wait for this kid to grow and soar if only so Hisoka could break his wings. He couldn't wait for Gon to look at him like that again.
