"Mapledash, why have you brought me here?" a white shecat with a line of brown fur flowing from the top of her head to the tip of her tail spoke.
"Hazelrush we bring forth an omen, " the cat know as Mapledash answered. Her light brown pelt filed with stars sparkled. A tabby tom walked in to the clearing after Mapledash had finished.
"Wavestar what are you doing here, and what's this omen you speak of?" Hazelrush questioned both her deceased medicine cat and past leader before Mapledash could continue.
"The River will ever flow passing obstacles on its way, " the tabby toms voice was as smooth and soft like flowing waves as he recited the omen.
"What does that mean?" Hazelrush almost pleaded after she had heard the confusing omen. She then silently cursed wishing that Starclan was more clearer when they recited omens and prophecies.
"It is time to go young Hazelrush the begging of a new journey is upon us." Mapledash said with other thoughts on her mind. With a slight nod Hazelrush began leaving but before she left she whispered a few words, "Good bye my mentor I have missed you greatly." Mapledash heard the words and turned back to her former apprentice. "And goodbye to you my daughter, " the words flowing from her mouth as she was unable to stop them. Hazelrush began to fad as she looked back at her mother who had also been her teacher, a illegal thing in all of the clans history, and gave a warm smile. The action carried more than a simple goodbye, it carried a message that could never be simplified in to any words. Yet the meaning held a simple thank you and the truth that love could always surpass the warrior code.
"Mapledash, I hope that Hazelrush will be able to handle the harsh pain that the destiny brings because the destiny not only will affect the chosen one and its family, but also it will affect our young medicine cat," Wavestar said with sympathy in his eyes. Mapledash looked down at her clan, the one that had disowned her and killed her and her mate, and the one that she still truly loved after such hard ships. Her own daughter was helping the final kit of the four to be born. Relive flooded her emotions when she saw that the queen and her mate had excepted her daughters help unlike the countless other queens who did not and ended up either dead or with dead kits as a result.
"I know that she will be okay because Hazelrush has already survived the harsh truth of being a kit that broke the warrior code when she was born, and that she will be able to withstand the same troubles a second time, but I am truly worried that the young kit will not be able to survive such harsh treatment."
"Don't worry he must and he will. All the greatest leaders have survive the worst pain and had endless suffering. Yet all they endure is rewarded with the pride and the privilege of leading a clan." Mapledash looked back down at the heart wrenching events that where happening at the very same moment. The suffering queen that had just giving a birth to the legend that will be. A black tom looked in hopelessness at his mate as she took her last breath. The soft flowing words of the omen rang like a song in the queens ears. "The River will ever flow passing obstacles on its way." She looked down at her final kit and stated, "Your name shall be flow." With a soft smile she laid her head down and fell into a endless starry sleep.
