Butterfly Puppet

I know that you're not here to love me

my face will never enjoy yours again

every scream always going unheard

it echoes into my head and empty heart

my life flutters away like a butterfly

shot down by the essence of a dead silent cold

remembrance of your warm entanglement

and the smile that turned me away from hell

night surrounds me as to swallow me

as if i were still the butterfly you once called puppet

with a knowing I'm a resemblance to darkness

tears of pain and admiration only to be ignored

by the scent of a happy new soul

call me again so i may wake up

and feel your love like aura instead of this

breath stealing air and yet that's where

we first met

and kissed the butterflies goodnight
