Birthday Present

"Happy Birthday, Angelus," Darla grinned. "I've got a present for you."

"Birthday?" he wondered as he eyed his sire seductively.

"You've walked this world for one hundred years. Shouldn't we celebrate?"

"I suppose... So, what's this about a present?"

Darla stepped closer and took Angelus' hands in hers. "You'll have to close your eyes," she smiled. "Come with me."

She led him inside a building. "I can smell fear," he laughed.

"Open your eyes."

When he did, he gasped at the crowd filling the room.

"There's one hundred. One for each year."

He stared hungrily. "This might take a while."
