Author's Note: I'm bored. I don't own Glee. If I did write for the series, Puck would be Rachel and Puck would always be the lead and not Finn. ;p Review if you'd like! Feedback is welcome!

Chapter 1: Set Up

"If we aren't going to Saks afterwards, I don't want to go."

Puck chose that moment to stop listening to the Cheerios talking about their upcoming trip to Columbus. No matter how many girls he met, they all were the same. Cars, clothes, jocks. Popularity. That's it. If they weren't ugly they seemed to be straight up selfish hoes and the ugly ones were always the cool ones. But he would never admit that. He had a reputation to protect.

"When I leave this town you will be sorry you treated me this way!"

Puck couldn't help but turn his head in the direction of the voice rising above the crowd. There stood Rachel Berry, the school's walking target who had once again drawn everyone's attention to her in the hall by getting a slushie in the face. Even though Puck was the one who invented it, the newness of always slushing Rachel Berry had worn out and now he couldn't help but feel a little over it .

As Puck stared at the girl in the entirely too short skirt with socks to her knees he noticed a few things. First, she was covered in Purple slush. She was wearing a white button down. He knew it was ruined. Second, she was shivering, yet made no movements. Thirdly, she had looked hot soaking wet. Kind of like that lady in Flashdance when the water was going all over her body.

When Puck finally reached her eyes again, he directly met the stare of the girl with the hard shell. Puck knew she would lose it any second. He leaned back against the locker before anyone could notice him checking her out. He turned his head and then he heard the faint "ow" followed by a bunch of laughter. Puck felt something hit his shoe, and when he glanced down a book had slid below his foot. He followed the trail of books that led to tiny Rachel Berry face palm on the floor. Her skirt above her white cotton boyshorts with pink stars all over them. Puck finally went to move when he saw her push herself up before running into the bathroom.

"Did you see Berry? What a loser!"

Puck wanted to say something but he didn't. He just let the guys talk and the Cheerios laugh as he looked down at the book below his shoe. The bell rang and everyone started clearing the hall way.

It was then he heard one of the Cheerios approach, "walk me to class?"

Puck cleared his throat a little and said "nah, not going."

Not getting the hint, the tiny blonde once again was in his eye line, "closet?"

Puck was almost tempted to take her to the closet to get five minutes of quiet. Instead he just shook his head "nah, skipping."

He walked away without looking back. After he heard the Cheerio close the last classroom door Puck couldn't help but glance back down the hall. He saw all the books strewn about…and he didn't know why but he couldn't stop himself from walking back towards them.

Her books had stars on the covers. Paper bag covers like his Boy Scout leader had taught him once. Yeah, he was a boy scout, until they caught him selling the fundraising goods a dollar more than he was supposed to and pocketing the change. He was ambitious, what could he say?

Slowly Puck picked up the first few books. Sheet music fell out of one of the books and he noticed the bottom was covered in slush. Something unknown to him tugged at his heart strings at that moment. For whatever reason, he felt like the worst person alive for not helping Rachel Berry up. Hell, he had been the one to start the whole "slush trend."

Feeling as though someone was staring at him, Puck looked up; and for the second time that day, his heart had beat erratically as his eyes met those of Rachel Berry's.
