As Horatio walked into the locker room after a long day in the field, he noticed Natalia sittinng on the bench with her head in her hands. Her bag was thrown carelessly to the side and her coat was folded over her lap. Some of the things from her bag had fallen out and were scattered under the bench. Horatio looked at her for a while before continuing over to stand in front of her. Looking down on Natalia, he cleared his throat just loud enough for Natalia to hear. Her head shot up and looked at Horatio. Her eyes were red and watery and her make-up was slightly smeared. It took her a moment to realize who she was looking at, before she quickly started wiping away her tears. "I'm sorry Horatio, I was just leaving." She said hoarsely as she started collecting her things from under the bench and shoved them in her bag. Horatio was staring to become worried about her.
"Miss Boa Vista, are you . . ."
"I'm fine, Horatio." She said, glancing up at him and attemping a small smile. She walked over to her locker and opened it up. Her mind was thinking of a million things all at the same time. She could feel tears starting to come back so she drew in a deep breathe and finish putting her things in her locker. Whe she closed her locker, she was startled by Horatio, who was leaning against the lockers.
"Miss Boa Vista," He said, content in his voice. "Is there something you need to . . ."
"Please, Horatio. Just don't." Natalia cut him off. He reached out for her but she turned away. He looked at her for a moment before he stepped closer to her. Natalia looked up at him, tears obviously staring to well up in her eyes. Horatio grabbed her elbow gently before he spoke.
"Natalia." As he said her name, a tear fell and rolled down her cheek. Horatio raised his hand up to her face and wiped away the tear with his thumb. He then cupped her face with his hand and looked at her intently.
"Horatio . . . I . . . Just . . . I . . ." She tried to protest before he cut her off. They looked at eachother for a few long moments. Horatio's rediant blue eyes twinkled in the dim light. He looked back into Natalia's gorgeous pools of brown, shimmering with tears. Natalia felt her stomach twist slightly. She wanted to pull away, but stayed. But before she could think about anything else, Horatio slowly bent his head down and kissed her. Natalia tensed but quickly melted into the kiss. Her arms raised to his neck and wrapped around, pulling her deeper into the kiss. He moved his hand from her face to wrap his hands around her waist and pull her closer to him. Natalia felt her stomach twist again as Horatio lightly skimmed his toungue across her bottom lip, and she opened up her mouth to his. This felt so right. After a few minutes of passionate kissing, He pulled away. Natalia looked up at him with a slight look of dissapointment on her face. He released his hold on her before he spoke.
"Natalia, I don't think this is the right place to continue this." A slight glimmer in his eye. She looked at him then smiled and nodded.
"How about my place?" She asked in a seductive voice. He smiled at her.
"Your place it is." Natalia took his hand and started to lead him out of the locker room, but soon realised he wasn't moving. She looked back at him puzzled.
"What are you . . ." She started to ask before she was cut off by Horatio.
"You never told me why you were crying." Natalia let go of his hand and looked slightly offended, but then she smiled at him slightly.
"It's nothing. You don't need to worry." He looked at her for a moment before he smiled then walked back to her and took her hand in his again. They looked at one another for a moment. Then, without another word, they walked out of the locker room and made there way to the parking garage.
The End
