"Aya?! Get back here!" The girl's older sister Haru called to her. She had a pair of scissors in hand. " It's time to cut your hair!" It had become a must to keep Aya looking like a boy in a dangerous environment like Toshima. Haru had decided to keep Aya looking like a boy for safely.
No answer.
" AYA!? STOP PLAYING!" Haru yelled, nervously. Aya was always in her room. The paint was chipping off the wall. The broken glass was piled neatly in a corner to prevent Aya hurting herself. The couch was empty. The blanket was folded and the cushions were arranged. Aya's belongings were also gone. The little black backpack that she tucked her things in was missing. Haru stood there, unable to process the scene . Then the information came rushing at her. In the jumble of questions and feelings, only three words stood out and got her attention.
Aya. Was. Gone.
Haru sat down on the wooden floor. Her sister, her only blood related family. Was gone. She had never cried or shown any weakness in Toshima. She knew she had to stay strong for her sister. But now, she let out a flood of tears that she always had never had time or a good place to release them. Chiyoko's quick footsteps were heard faintly through the cries.
" Haru! What's wrong?!" The ebony haired girl asked, anxiously. Haru raised her head and looked at the raven haired girl. Gold eyes met glowing blue ones.
" Aya... Aya's gone."
