i dont own artemis fowl (wish i did).

"I refuse to come out in this ridiculous ensamble."

"Oh come on, Artemis! Think of the children!" encouraged Holly.

"I am thinking of the children, Holly. I am thinking that the children are very stupid!" exclaimed Artemis.

"Arty! Don't say that! Think of how happy they'll be!"

"No."

"Fine. I put all that hard work into getting a costume and everything and you can't even be bothered to help!" she said, almost crying. Holly wasn't actually crying, she just did that to persuade Artemis.

"Oh, all right. But I'm only doing this because you forced me to,"he grumbled. When Artemis appeared at the stairs, dressed in his Santa costue, Holly couldn't hold back a laugh. "Holly!" exclaimed Artemis.

"I'm sorry, Arty. You just look so funny in that costume!" she giggled.

"That's it! I'm taking this off," he said, walking up the stairs.

"No! Okay, no more laughing!"she promised. "Just keep it on, for me?" Artemis sighed. Holly could get to him in a way nobody else could. "Thank you!" she said, giving him a hug.

"Your welcome."

"Here," said Holly, handing him a fluffy, white beard. Artemis groaned. He slid it on. Holly started laughing again.

"Holly!"

"I'm sorry! You just look so stupid!" she exclaimed. Artemis grabbed her by the waist.

"What did you say?" he asked. Holly giggled.

"You look stupid," she replied.

"That's it!" he said. Artemis started tickling her.

"No! Artemis stop!" she said through laughs. He didn't stop. He is so cute! thought Holly. "Artemis! The boys are going to wake up soon!" Artemis stopped. "Ready?" she asked, still laughing a little.

"No."

"Will you ever be ready?"

"No."

"All right then." Holly turned to the stairs. "Boys! Santa's here!" Myles and Beckett ran down in matching pajamas.

"Santa!" yelled Myles. Or maybe it was Beckett... They both attacked Artemis.

"Holly! Help! They're trying to kill me!" yelled Artemis. Holly burst out laughing. He is so amazing!

"They just want the presents!" she said.

"Give it to them!"exclaimed Artemis.

"I can't!"

"Why not?"

"Because you have the bag!" said Holly, poiting to a red silk sack Beckett (or was it Myles?) was trying to rip open with his teeth.

"BECKETT FOWL!" yelled Artemis. Beckett looked up. "That is real silk! What on earth do you think you're doing?" demanded Artemis. He can even tell the twins apart! He acts just like a father! He would be perfect for our kids. Wait, OUR? Holly shook the thought from her mind. Beckett pointed to the bag.

"Toys."

"If you want toys, go to the christmas tree," said Holly. They bith happily ran off. Artemis collapsed on the stairs. He took off the beard and hat and leaned his head forwaard to look at the ceiling. Holly sat next to him

"Hey, Holly," said Artemis. Holly looked at him. "Is that miseltoe?" he asked, pointing to a green leaf that was poking through the roof.

"Yes it is," said Holly. She tried to hide the blush that was no doubt creeping on to her cheeks.

"Oh." said Artemis. "Holly?" She turned to face him. Before she could say anything, Artemis leaned forward and kissed her.

"Artemis! You have a girlfriend?" Artemis and Holly turned and saw one of the twins standing there.

"Myles, go back to the christmas tree," said Artemis.

Myles shrugged and walked away singing,"Arty and Holly sitting in a tree K-E-S-E-N-N-G." Holly turned to Artemis.

"How do you tell the twins apart?" she asked. Artemis sighed.

"It's a long story," he said. Then he kissed her again.
