Hello, Girl Meets World fans! Some of you may have seen Girl Meets Semi Formal and watched Farkle and Maya's play, "No". Well, I've put an interesting spin on it. Hope you enjoy!
Mr. Matthews's famous ninth grade history class entered his room.
"Alright, it's you guys," he said. "So, what's new?"
A lot had went down since high school started. Smackle and Farkle had broken up, and she actually moved up to tenth grade. Maya, Lucas, and Riley had solved their relationship problem, and now Riley and Lucas were dating, and while Maya and Lucas weren't, they had actually developed a stronger friendship. They still made fun of each other, though.
"The Winter Formal is in a few weeks," Riley told her father.
"Yeah, Lucas asked Riley over the weekend," Zay said.
"I know Mr. Babineaux," his teacher replied, frowning at his daughter's boyfriend.
"Mr. Matthews, I'm a good kid! You've had me since I was twelve years old!" Lucas protested.
"He knows you're okay, Huckleberry," Maya assured him.
"Yeah, it's just a father's instinct," Farkle agreed.
"Anyways, back to the winter formal," Cory said. "I know I went over this for those of you I taught last year at John Quincy Adams, but we're going to revisit etiquette."
"Our show!" Farkle whispered to Maya.
"Can anyone tell me what etiquette is?" Cory asked the class.
"Treating people with respect," Darby said.
"Using good manners," Yogi offered.
"Darby, Yogi, good answers," their teacher told them. "Those are definitely two big things that go along with etiquette. Now, again, those of you who went to John Quincy Adams will remember this, but Farkle and Maya have something to show you."
"Indeed we do, Mr. Matthews," Maya said as she and Farkle walked to the front of the room.
"Some of you may know our famous play we put on before every dance. It's about etiquette. It's called 'No'," Farkle told the class.
"This is going to be good," Zay said.
"Maya and Farkle put on this play every year," Riley said. "What could be different?"
"I don't know, but something seems like it will."
"Guys, let's just watch," Lucas said.
"Agreed," Riley whispered, and the three of them turned to their best friends.
"Here we go," Cory muttered.
"Miss Maya Hart, there's the winter formal coming up," Farkle said. "Would you care to be my date?"
"Yes," Maya said.
Lucas and Riley looked at each other. Cory's eyes bulged out of his head.
"I knew it! Hart actually likes Minkus!" Zay exclaimed.
Their classmates began to whisper amongst each other.
Farkle stared at Maya. She was smiling smugly. "Wait, seriously?!"
"Y-E-S. Yes, I would love to go to the Winter Formal with you," Maya told him.
The class applauded. Cory ran up to catch Farkle as he fainted. When Farkle came back to his senses, he and Maya went back to their seats.
"Well," Mr. Matthews said, "I guess that's part of etiquette. Interesting twist, Maya."
"Yeah, no kidding," Riley told Maya.
"Zay, pinch me, will you?" Farkle asked. "I want to make sure this is a dream." Zay did so. "Ouch! It's real!"
"Yeah, good going, man," Lucas said, smiling.
While everyone was packing up, Cory went over to Maya.
"Wait a minute, do you actually like him? Did you mean it?" he asked.
"Of course I meant it, Matthews."
"I've never seen you in love before."
"Oh, come on. It's just a dance, and we're just friends."
He looked at her. "We've lived that story before." He thought of his daughter and Lucas.
"Well, then, I'm gonna need you to stick with me," she told him. "Treat him like you treat Lucas."
"I will, Maya. But I'll never let you live this down. I'll make a speech when you get married to him."
"Okay, Mr. Matthews," Maya said, and she walked out of his classroom, smiling.
I know, I suck at endings. ;-) But I hope you guys liked that story! Please comment your thoughts and ideas for a new story.
