I don't own Soul Eater.

Carve

"Maka," His smirk etched across his face. His left arm suddenly sharp, his grin even sharper. His mind was not right; the madness had begun to take over again.

And there she was, shivering, nervous, cornered. He closed the distance between them dangerously.

Common

Her dull hair. Her green eyes. Her small nose. Her curve-less fig ure. His crim son eyes sur veyed her, observ ing her every fea ture and flaw. If any one asked, he would say she was com mon, with out hes i ta tion. But in his own mind, in the shad ows where nobody could reach him, he knew that she was any thing but.

Depth

Maka Albarn's eyes were deeper than anyone's. Looking into them was like peering straight into her soul.

Fireflies

Giggling, she opened the big glass jar, letting their entire night's catch go free. They spread out like blinking stars, or airplanes, into the summer night sky. He had worked hard all evening to catch those for her!

Lantern

The festival lanterns really brought out the jade in her eyes. He smiled as he watched the light dance across her face.

Liar

"I thought you were different, but you're just like him!" Crystal tears trailed delicately down her jaw.

Peculiar

He had never seen her so bubbly.

Sandwich

"Not cool," The weapon muttered, wiping the condiments and veggies off of his face. That's the last time he'll ever make a joke about his partner making him a sandwich.

Spike

Gloved hands gripped his handle tightly, sending shivers through his soul. Their resonation had always been powerful; more powerful than anyone had ever seen. He sat down at the ivory keys and cracked his knuckles.

Tide

Waves crashed gently on the tips of his toes. The ocean was really beautiful, Soul decided, and would like to show his meister someday. After all, she had never seen the sea.

Waltz

"One last dance?" The meister purred. Hands clasped, their souls waltzed in perfect rhythm, their wavelengths diverging and melting into one. This was something that only soul mates could achieve. No more battles, no more worries. For the moment it was just him and her and the softly scratching smooth jazz in his room.

Without

She found herself unable to do anything, paralyzed. She couldn't think, she couldn't speak. She couldn't even breathe. How was she supposed to get him back now?

Author's Note: First attempt at Soul Eater. Honestly I'm not very happy with this, but this is also the first time I've done any prompt-like stuff. Criticism is appreciated!
