Chapter One

High up in clear midnight sky, among the twinkling stars there is a pale moon and it is shining its' light down at the sleeping Romanians.

Ophelia had just finished burying her decease twin sister, Felicia, under their favorite tree that sits on a hill that is not far from their home. She placed the shovel down on the ground before brushing the dirt off her hands.

Then she sat down under the tree to rest for a bit. Ophelia turned her attention to the moon as she recalls the series of event in which it had led her to discover Felicia's body.

*** Flash Back ***

The sun had almost completely set and it was getting very late for Ophelia.

'I have to get home before Felicia starts to worry about what might happen to me,' Ophelia thought to herself.

She hurried down the dirt road with couple of woven baskets hanging from her arms; they were both filled with food supplies that would last them at least couple of weeks.

'I should have left home very early for market,' she scolded herself.

Hours Later…

The sun had completely set and the moon has completely risen.

Ophelia quickens her pace after seeing her family home in the distance. She and Felicia, her twin sister, has been living there, ever since they were born and the passing of their parents. They could not afford to sell away their memories that they have created with the home.

Effortlessly opens the wooden door with little hindrances from the two woven baskets that are hanging from her arms and then shutting the door behind her with her foot after she had entered her home.

Ophelia had called out to her sister to let her know that she is finally home with their food supplies from the town's markets.

"I am home, Felicia! Sorry, it took me so long." She set the two woven baskets down on a nearby wooden table. "Felicia?" she was greeted with silence once again, it had forced a small frown on her face.

'Has she fallen asleep while she waited for me to return?' she thought to herself. Ophelia turned to enter the small living room area. She found her sister laying there on the floor limply with her eyes closed.

Ophelia had rushed over to her sister's side and shook her "Felicia?" she said quietly then shook Felicia again to get some kind of response from her, there was none at all. She felt some kind of sticky substance on her fingers.

It was blood…her sister's blood on her fingers. She had gone completely numb.

*** End Flash Back ***

She murmurs "Do not worry, Felicia. I will find whoever responsible for this. They will pay for what they have done." Without another word from her, she finally drifted off to sleep.
