Silence!

Dammit!

Maybe he cursed in a loud voice. Maybe a bit too loud, considering that he heard someone clearing her throat. He lifted his head and noticed the murderous glare pointing towards him and belonging to the woman at the counter. Behind her small, oval-shaped glasses he could read the words "Shut up or you'll have to deal with me" written in capital letters.

Okay, I understood! I'll try to control myself next time, there's no need to look at me like that…

Gohan wrinkled his nose and shifted his attention on the problem he was trying to solve.

Okay, let's see here... I'm blocked on every side and the only move I can make is in the corner up there. All these number are useless and I have no clue on what to do. Great! It couldn't get any worse. I can't say that I have been cornered. Or maybe yes? Anyway, the chance to find a bomb in the corner equals the chance I won't find it. So… Dende, let there be no bomb.

Uh uh, my friend. You can't ask for my help. You know cheating is unfair.

But... I was just saying that, Dende. …Why do you and Piccolo keep on listening my thoughts, anyway?

Ehm, maybe I'd better go. See you next time, Gohan!

You two are just... Arghh! When I come to the Lookout, I swear…

Without wasting time, Gohan placed the cursor on the corner and clicked, waiting for his Fate to be revealed. And he was pleasantly surprised when a number appeared. To be more specific, a "two" had just made his entrance. It wasn't much, but at least it wasn't a bomb. The boy breathed in deeply and once again challenged destiny. Another number.

Uh oh, there we go.

With a few more moves, he managed to unravel the knot.

«I made it!»

Someone's coughing caught his attention. Once again, the hybrid was hit by the woman's glare. In front of him, Videl put the book down on the table and scolded him in a low voice.

«Gohan! We are in a library!»

He lowered his head, blushing. «Uh, sorry!»

Videl closed her eyes and shook her head, focusing back on the book. In front of her, Gohan couldn't hold back a smile and got his face closer to the girl. He started to talk in a pleased tone, trying to keep his voice low in order not to be heard by "that woman, over there".

«I completed the one thousand seven hundred and ninety-sixth game, and I won. According to the statistics, I'm getting better and I'm quite close to a hundred per cen-… Ouch! You hurt me... »

The girl kicked him under the table, hitting a quite sensitive spot on his right knee. She made him shut up with a look and continued to scold him with threatening whispers.

«Oh, did I? Well, not enough. Next time I'll use more strength.»

Gohan went back to his place, leaning against the back of the chair. He lowered his head, pouting, and grumbled.

«Stop grumbling! Why don't you do your research instead of playing Minesweeper, huh? Or I won't borrow you my computer anymore.»

Author's note:
It's the first time I publish a fanfiction in English. I just hope my English isn't that awful. Also, I am perfectly aware that the story doesn't make any sense. I just like Minesweeper, you know, and I can't do anything about it.

See you soon!
