Warning: Crack!Fic.

Thunder sounded in her ears as she walked through the forest. She knew the skies would open up soon but she carried no umbrella. It would shield her from the rain. She walked slowly, her anticipation rising as her feet moved softly against the earth. She never felt more at home than she did here. She was a part of nature. It only made sense that this would happen, she thought, as her eyes fell on the white oak tree. Walking toward it, she let a small smile play on her lips.

"I'm back," she said, her fingers grazing the bark. She felt it give a shudder, undetectable to those without power. It was glad that she had come. She had not been able to visit for quite some time. She could not afford to be followed and have its branches ripped from it and turned into daggers. Her jaw clenched. "I won't let anyone hurt you."

The rain began to fall and the branches moved forward, hanging its leaves over her head. She sat down and hugged the white oak tree, her cheek pressed gently against the trunk. She'd never felt safer.
