Author Notes: I own nothing. All spelling mistakes are mine. Had this for a week, didn't want to disturb 12 days. I felt bad for Abigail at the end of this.

He never meant for Abigail to find out that he didn't picked up where they are currently living at. It just slipped during dinner.

It's been almost a month since both of them moved in to this wonderful Prairie- style complex.

Abigail asked him "What drew him to this place."

He said "Mary picked it out, said it was prefect for each other."

She looked at him and answered "Mary Shannon picked this place!"

Marshall closed his eyes and replayed the conversation.

Abigail stared at his face and asked him "You weren't going to tell me, were you".

He didn't answer and she said " Right, well than, what other life alternating decisions has Mary decided in this relationship than!"

Marshall replied "First of all, our relationship is between us, not Mary, and no other life alternating decisions were made, Abigail."

"Could've fooled me, Marshall" she replied. "What do you mean by that remark?" he asked.

" Well let's see, I feel that Mary is part of our relationship Marshall, I feel that I'm fighting her to get your attention, I get that you guys are partners and friends but I feel that you go beyond that line, Marshall" "Tell me one thing, if you were to choose between Mary and I , who would you choose?"

He looked at her and said "I can't believe you are giving me an ultimatum!"

"Marshall, be honest with yourself and me, I'm doing this for us, and we need to move forward, so again who would you chose?"

He couldn't believe it, he knew the answer but didn't want to hurt her but in the end one of them would be hurt and better he tells her now than in a loveless marriage and only thing that's keeping them together are the kids.

"I chose Mary." "I thought you'll answer that, glad you confirm my suspicions, I'll move out by the end of the week. Be glad your name is on the lease of this apartment Marshall" Abigail said sadly. "I'm sorry" said Marshall

"Don't be, the hearts knows who it wants and I wasn't enough" answered Abigail.

"Can we be friends at least" he questioned she smiles sadly and said "One day but not right now."

"Good bye, Marshall Mann"
