Conditions

No stars can be seen through our tormented sky,

The clouds under which we do live and die.

The air is toxic, the earth is scorched brown,

For every city there's ten shanty towns.

...

If the sun is shining it can't be seen,

There is some grass but it isn't green.

On Helghan it's hard not to feel down.

...

From Earth we chose to go,

And all we got was a lightning show.

It's on Helghan that it's hard not to wear a frown.

...

Even from space it wasn't a perfect view,

This place was hell, a fact known to be true.

Yet a place where we could escape Earth's crown.

...

Of our paths we were sure,

Our destiny was pure,

But all of our hopes were promptly shot down.

...

Does our condition prickle human hair?

I bet it does but they just don't care.

If this were an ocean they'd be glad to let us drown.

...

God damn the ISA!

Its fall would make my day.

I'd love to see their sickening flag come down.

...

Bullets tearing through their frail bodies,

Torn apart by our cyborg hounds.

With them I'd love to do battle,

No quarter given or found.

...

So off to Vekta we shall go,

To apply everything that we know,

In battle against the hated ISA.

...

And when victory is complete,

Suffice to say it will be sweet.

A new world will truly make our day.
