Author's Note: This story does not go with my story "Tension". Takes place the night before the day that Noah tells Luke "You know you're mine, right?"
Luke was supposed to be showing Casey how to operate the video camera. The camera lay to the side forgotten, however. Casey had wrapped his arms around Luke, who was leaning slightly unto Casey.
Noah could hear the two quietly, feverishly whispering. He could not understand what they were saying, but would occasionally catch a part of their conversation.
A fraction of something Luke was saying reached Noah, "…but you said…we would!" His voice was distorted, and confusing.
Casey obviously did not like the course the conversation was heading because he shook his head and replied fiercely, however, Noah did not make out what his reply was.
Noah didn't appreciate the distance between Casey and Luke, or the lack of distance between them, more like. Luke had leaned so far on to Casey that Casey was supporting both of their body weights. Luke's head was resting gently on Casey's shoulder.
They were still whispering, but softer now, less aggravated.
"You know I love you…why do we have to have sex…show it?" Casey was saying, his words cutting in and out.
Luke spoke in a definite tone, "Because…Noah and I never…Please…I need…this."
Casey's voice became even more muzzled, "…about Noah?", was all Noah could hear.
Luke smiled a playful smile. "Forget him…only…you."
Casey's arms' grasp on Luke's waist loosened. Luke turned and faced Casey; their faces were now merely centimeters apart.
Softly, Casey kissed Luke on the nose then trailed down until he found Luke's mouth. Slightly, Luke pressed his hands on Casey's chest.
Noah couldn't stand it anymore. He burst into the room, and asked coldly, "Having fun?"
Casey and Luke stopped kissing. Casey made a motion for Luke to stand behind him but Luke refused.
The look on Luke's face was almost a sneer as Luke said, in the most malicious tone Noah had ever heard, "When you married Ameera, you chose this, Noah."
Noah jerked from his troubled sleep. His sheets were sticking to his body. He looked around the room, nothing seemed disarrayed. He shut his eyes tightly. It had just been a dream. An awful dream. Luke would never have an affair, especially not with Casey. Noah still wasn't convinced. Tomorrow he would make sure Luke knew Noah loved him and not to let pretending to date Casey get to his head.
