Stupid. That's what she was, just another stupid ape. She'd meant well but absorbing the time vortex? That was idiotic, thick, reckless...and just so Rose. He felt his hearts warm a bit. He hadn't dared look at the girl as she helped him into the TARDIS.

He knelt over in pain and the anger at her came back. He couldn't believe she'd do this to him –hell, he couldn't believe he'd do this to himself for her. He tried to explain what was happening to him now but he couldn't find a way so he said his goodbye's; he hates them but that's okay because he wanted her to make peace with the idea he was leaving even though she'd be there once he'd changed.

Looking up at her, he felt his hearts melt completely. This girl, his pink and yellow girl was so confused, crying so much and oh so sorry. He smiled as the pain became unbearable.

Maybe he'd be handsome, someone she'd be attracted too. Throughout time and space the size of his ears and nose had been the bud of all jokes, hopefully this would stop.

Then thoughts struck him: what if she doesn't want to travel with me anymore? What if she doesn't want the new me?

He thought of their kiss not moments before, she hadn't been herself but he was sure she kissed him back. If she loved him like this than she'd love him in any other way too, surely?

It was strange, he was almost happy to die. The bitterness would hopefully die with him and his punishment from his former would be no more. Relief. That's what he felt, not happiness.

He looked at the girl again and kept smiling. Eventually he closed his eyes and let his thoughts take over and silently he made a wish: let her love me.

Then everything was gone.

When he finally returned he saw his pink and yellow girl. He smiled and tried to speak, it felt weird –new teeth, maybe?
