It was New Year's Eve at Smash Mansion, only an hour away from midnight. Samus and the other women were living it up, but little did she know that a few certain people were watching...

"I'm telling you, I'm going to get Samus to kiss me at midnight!" Captain Falcon argued with Snake and Luigi. Both of them shook their heads.

"Dream on, Falcon. I tried that last year, and ended up in the infirmary for a week." Snake groaned.

"Besides, I don't-a think Samus likes you, after that little stunt that you-a pulled with the mistletoe." Luigi told him.

"Don't worry! I have a foolproof plan to make sure we kiss!" the overconfident racer exclaimed, which he followed with a dose of breath spray. Snake and Luigi just rolled their eyes.

Of course, what Captain Falcon didn't know was that someone else had the same idea as him...and had a better chance.

Time went by quickly, and soon, it was a minute to midnight. Captain Falcon quickly started searching the crowd for Samus so he could kiss her. He found her with the other girls, though it appeared that they were surrounding her and...someone else. He began to push through the girls just as the final countdown started. "5...4...3..."

He managed to get to the center when the countdown got to one, and with the announcement of "HAPPY NEW YEAR!", Samus was kissing.

Only not with him.

To his shock and horror, Captain Falcon watched as Samus made out with a man barely deserving of her.

Dark Pit!

The racer seethed in rage. How dare she make out with a mere clone?

He started heading towards them, but was quickly knocked out by a frying pan-wielding Peach.

"Do not mess with my ships." she growled.

Just then, "You Make Me Feel" started playing. Samus danced with Dark Pit and all her girlfriends, and together, they trampled the Captain under their feet.

Snake and Luigi looked on. "Something tells me 2016 is-a going to be a lot like -a 2015."

"Not quite." a voice behind them said. The two men turned around and saw Bayonetta in a rather skimpy black dress.

"Let's dance, boys!"
