Will sat on his couch; he had a soda in one hand and a bowl of chips on the table as he sat there watching the television. Summer had started, so there were no more glee club practices though Rachel had insisted they continue
Will had no idea what he was going to do this summer. He was in the middle of contemplating it when there was a sharp knock on the door. He got up and opened it, only to reveal Emma. She was standing there, crying. Will immediately pulled her into a hug. She only cried harder as he began to stroke her hair.
"Shh Emma, what's wrong?" he said, as she tried to calm herself down.
"I-I saw him w-with another w-woman!" she blurted, ruining all her attempts to calm herself down.
"What do you mean?"
"Carl! He was cheating on me, Will! I should have known I-I mean, he didn't want to go out at all last month and " She faded off into muttering.
"Are you okay?" he asked, concern filling his voice.
"Yeah I-I don't think it would have lasted anyways and-" Will interrupted her with a kiss. For a second, Emma was shocked yet happy. Then she remembered why she had come to Will's in the first place. She wanted to be with him again Carl was a mistake. She had known this from the first time he declined a date.
"Can I, um, can I come in?" she whispered, not daring to look at Will, but down at her shoes.
"Yeah " Will said, leading her over to the couch.
They had fallen asleep on the couch. Will had realized this when he had woken up he saw Emma lying on his chest, her hair partially splayed over her face. He laid there for a moment, stroking her red locks and brushing them from her eyes
When Emma woke up seconds later, she smiled up at Will.
"Hi," he said, smiling at the way the sun hit her hair as she lifted her head.
"Hi," she repeated, getting up off Will. She looked at him his curly hair that Sue hated so much, his muscles, his eyes "I want to start over." The second the words left her mouth, she regretted having said them.
"I do, too," he said, knowing exactly what she had meant when she had said it.
"Wow, um really?" He nodded.
"Consider this a a first date." He got up and stood in front of Emma. "Except, I'm special because I get to do this " He brought his lips upon hers again, only this time, Emma was slightly more prepared for what was in store
