Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.
Some would say she was ordinary, that there was nothing really that special about her. James knew differently for him, there was no other. A slight few of his friends would agree with him, that yes she was something of a beauty but even those slight few did not feel the same kind of wonder as James did.
She outshined all the others with her fine long, lean length. When he loving put his hands on her, it was as if she was only designed for him.
Rarely has James ever felt unhappiness but he was not immune to such a feeling. Even he has felt a gloom cloud above him but it's all forgotten when he is with her. For when she picks him up, it's like all that sadness is left below.
For the morning sun in all its glory,
Meets the day with hope and comfort too,
You fill my life with laughter, somehow you make it better,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.
There's a love less defined,
And it's yours and its mine,
Like the sun.
And at the end of the day,
We should give thanks and pray,
To the one, to the one.
Whether that it may be the morning sun just raising from its slumber or the white face moon that chased the day away, she is the one he could always count on to be there when he needed a way to brighten a tired day. And that was something he cherished about her. That was something real he could hold on to.
Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.
He would rub his hands on her, loving the way she felt under his touch. She was slender at the right places but nicely curved and rounded where she was intended to be. She was smooth and luminous under this touch. The way she felt under him, how she seem to know just where to go with his gentle guide shall forever be branded in his mind.
There's a love less defined,
And its yours and its mine,
Like the sun.
And at the end of the day,
We should give thanks and pray,
To the one, to the one.
His love for her was great and for that, there were times when he would get a playful tease for being so open about his affection but what else could he do, he loved her. She was everything to him. When it rain they would spend it together, reaching up towards the heavy clouds, sorrowing above the thunder. When the heat got too much on those hot days, she was his breeze flowing through his hair. At night, the stars were always out of reach but it didn't matter because they shined brighter when they gazed at them together.
Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.
'This is sicking to watch.' Remus said with a wrinkle of his nose as he watched through the small crack of the door as it stood a jar.
'Stop watching then.' Sirius pushed the wolf boy out of viewing.
'He really loves that, doesn't he?' Peter eyes were wide with wonder.
'It's natural.' Remus reminded his two friends. 'It's like he's in some kind of trance. I'm going to go in there and put a stop to this!'
'Just chill.' Sirius grabbed Remus arm to prevent him from interrupting James. 'Nature will fix itself once he discovers girls. For now, let the boy alone to wax his broom in private.'
Take away all my sadness, fill my life with gladness,
Ease my troubles, that's what you do.
To James, a world without a broomstick would be no life to live.
