"Lightning is on a team of losers!"
"Good to know, Lightning." Scott muttered sarcastically from his bunk.
The two boys were the only ones in the Toxic Rats cabin. Lightning was still stinging from the losses of the first two challenges. Scott however was sticking to his plan. However, he didn't know how Lightning fit into the plan. Other than his habit of talking to himself in the third-person, Scott really liked Lightning.
He actually liked Lightning. Weird because Scott never really liked anyone – not even his parents. And it was a weird like, almost like butterflies were tickling his insides. And Scott found it kind of nice.
"Lightning wonders why the producers even chose some of you losers for the show."
Scott scowled and got up from his bunk. Grabbing the athlete's collar he growled "not all of us are losers. Get it."
Lightning grabbed the red-head's hand, "Lightning gets it."
"Good. Now go to sleep."
The darker skinned of the pair smiled. "Lightning doesn't want to sleep alone."
Scott muttered, "so." As he tried to free his hand from the other's grip.
"So Lightning picks you to sleep with him. Since you are not a loser." Scott flushed, his freckles becoming more predominant.
"Fine."
"Good."
-Cuts to confessional-
Lightning smiles, "correction. Chris should've let Lightning and Scott be a team of two. He knows how to play the game."
-Cuts to confessional-
"Sleeping with Lightning was nice. He doesn't hog the blankets or roll over."
-Cuts back to scene-
Scott slides under the blanket next to Lightning. The athlete wraps him arm around Scott and snuggles him close. Scott smiles and turned his head. "Better?"
Lightning nods, "Lightning would like one more thing before he goes to bed." Scott nods and lets him continue, "a kiss?"
Scott flushes but he turns over and faces Lightning. Lightning rewraps his arm around the red-head pulling him in as close as possible. And as light as a feather their lips press together for but a few seconds. And then they snuggle together and fall asleep.
