Love through the Eyes of a Camera
The pilot of Ghostfacers wasn't just the bold new future of Reality TV, but hopefully also Ed and Corbett's supernatural relationship. While Ed was hunting ghosts, Corbett was falling deeply in love with him. Getting him French Vanilla coffee because he knew Ed enjoyed it. In Harry's words, "About Corbett, he's a good worker and he's always on time (Corbett walks by and knocks on the car window) but, I think he's got the hots for Ed, and that could spill trouble for the whole team."
Meeting Harry might have been Ed's only love at first geek, but not Ed's only love. Before the team went to the haunted house, Spruce (the camera man) showed Ed the interviews he shot of each team member. When Ed saw Harry's he thought Harry was just joking about Corbett's feelings for him until, he saw Corbett's and starting believing it. That too was when he realized that he had supernatural feelings for him as well. It was like love at first camera view.
Ed and Corbett were on team 1 while exploring the house, although in some cases people would consider them playing for the other team. When Ed finally built up the courage to tell Corbett about the feelings he had for him, Sam and Dean barge in and then Harry, Maggie, and Spruce see the first death echo. With all of that drama going on, Corbett decides to go upstairs and try to communicate with the spirit. Then Ed says, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Where's Corbett?"
While Sam, Dean, Maggie, Harry, Ed, and Spruce are looking for him, they are doing it not knowing that it is too late to save him. It was too late to save him because upstairs he turns the camera on him talking to the ghost when suddenly it pops ups behind him and drags him to what will be the last party he will ever attend, literally. Although it wasn't Corbett's smartest hour, sadly it was his last. Corbett takes a knife through the neck all to see his first and last ghost.
Sam, Dean, and Spruce got separated from Harry, Ed, and Maggie. When that happened Dean told Ed through the door to grab the salt from his duffle bag make a circle and get in. Then Ed asked, "Get in your duffle bag?" and Dean says, "The salt!" So Ed, Harry, and Maggie entered the circle of salt. Then suddenly Corbett's death echo appeared. This almost brought tears to the three of them. Ed tried to talk to Corbett, but death echoes can only be put to rest if you have something in common with the diseased. So, Harry told him that Corbett had a thing for him, which he already knew. What Harry didn't know was that Ed had a thing for Corbett, too. Harry said, "You know what you have to do. You have to go be gay or that poor, dead intern." As if he wanted Ed to pretend he had feelings for Corbett. He walked up to Corbett and said, "You meant a lot to the team, you meant a lot to me, never back down and never say a bad word, I remember that because I love you, I really truly love you."
Thankfully Corbett responds and his spirit and death echo are free to rest. Corbett ends up saving them all from the horrible ghost. All of his dreams did come true because the one he loved, loved him back.
