AN: based off a picture I saw.

'Red has to be the most irresponsible person on the face of the planet when it comes to his health.' Green thought angrily as he stared down at the scene before him.

Red was lying peacefully in a snow field, his breathes even and steady indicating that Red was currently sleeping. Pikachu was on top of the sleeping boy wrapped cutely in a scarf Green had so thoughtfully given him last year.

This wasn't the most annoying part of the whole situation. No, the most annoying part of the whole thing was Red's own state of dress. He was dressed as though he was just wandering through Viridian forest in the middle of a warm summer afternoon.

Not this frozen snowfield.

Green reached down touching Red's surprisingly warm cheek. With a sigh, his fingers briefly ghosting past Red's rosy lips, he sat down on the snow, unable to stop the shiver from going down his spine as he did so. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a green blanket. It wasn't much, but it was better then nothing.

Eevee cuddled into his lap, obviously looking for warmth as it snuggled into the puff of fur around it's neck. He sighed closing his eyes, hands petting Eevee's warm fur.

A few minutes passed and he heard a soft rustle beside him. He cracked an eye open seeing Red sit up, the blanket falling off of his form.

"Pika!" Pikachu squealed climbing up nuzzling his owner's cheek affectionately. Red didn't say anything, which wasn't unusual for the taciturn trainer but a light smile did make it's way across his handsome features.

"Idiot." Green snapped himself out of staring reaching forward he grabbed the blanket throwing it over Red in an attempt to keep the hat wearing teen warm as the wind picked up. "You're going to freeze to death one of these days." Red didn't say anything just giving him a side long glance nodding he reached up grabbing Pikachu he wrapped the scarf back around the electric mouse, tying a bow.

"Chu" Pikachu cooed nuzzling Red's hand lightly as he pet the creature one last time before his hands fell to his lap.

"God, Red do you want to die of hypothermia?" he raged, continuing his previous argument with Red before he had been distracted by the other boy's ministrations.

"No." Red's voice cracked lightly from the cold.

"Then come on, there's a poke-center nearby." he reached forward grabbing Red by the arm hoisting the too-light teen, hero of the Kanto region, up. "We'll stay there tonight then you can go wherever you were going to go tomorrow." he slowly started to drag the unfazed boy out of the snow field.

Red had to be the most irresponsible person on the planet when it came to his own health, but that's why Green was there.
