This story follows after Ella has had a daughter. Her daughter like her is hidden from the truth, especially since her father, Char, and mother, Ella, live at the castle. Alice, Ella's daughter, is now eighteen, of age to get married, and is going to find out that the story that her mother died at childbirth was false, and the man she knew as her father is really not actually her father. Alice has to explore on by self, find out hidden secrets, and get some unexpected help.

I woke up from my slumber from a great bang outside.

What the cause of the noise was, I do not know, and will never know. Which is odd considering that nobody else knows either, yet many of them were outside when the bang came, which came from outside, which is about all I know.

Grabbing my coat from my chair, I threw it on, and ran out to see what had happened. I never got that far for my brother stopped me before I reached the door.

He ran into me, grabbed me, and threw me back into my bedroom.

"What is going on?" I frantically asked my brother. "Why is there yelling outside?" "Answer me, you dimwit."

"Just stay here," he ordered in a fierce voice, "you are still in your nightgown, which would spread rumors throughout the town if I had let you go out there."

"Really," I said rolling my eyes, "There is all this screaming, and all you care about is me not being seen in my nightgown. Now tell me, Andrew, what is going on outside?"

"Like I said," Andrew replied in a nasty tone, "You are in your nightgown Alice, so that means that you are a lady."

"And…" I said not catching what he was trying to get at.

He looked at me like I was a leper. "Ladies are not supposed to concern themselves with a matter that is intended for men. Just get dressed since father wants you ready for when the wedding maker comes at noon." With that said, Andrew left my room.

Oh, I had forgotten about the wedding maker coming. Since I had turned eighteen two weeks ago, rumors had been flying since I was not married. So, my father sent for the wedding maker to come, and evaluate a husband for me. The problem, though, was that I did not intend to get married, yet.

But, as all other things I do, I had to go along with this.

After I had bathed, I looked through my closet for what would be appropriate when the wedding maker came. I chose a light blue dress that was floor length, had sleeves down to my elbow that opened wider, and blue laces that went from my waist to the floor. I also chose it since it used to be my mothers.

As I walked down the stairs of the old house, my father watched me with great intensity. When I reached the bottom, he walked over to me. He pulled me long curly brown hair back into a bun.

"The wedding maker in the parlor," he said nervously. "Do your best since you need a good husband."

"Yes father," I said like the obedient daughter that he wanted. Just only if he knew about how I snuck out last night with Eric. I met Eric in the town, and had been meeting him at the barn near my house since.

I continued to the parlor deep in deep thought about Eric. The previous night we had gone on for hours talking about different things that we could do in the future. Right now we are just friends, but I have to admit that sometimes I have other feelings towards him.

I was still thinking about Eric, when I remembered that the wedding maker was staring at me. She was an older woman, with gray hairs, and she was nearly bursting out of her chair.

"Hmm" she looked at me. "So you are ready to become a wife."

"Yes," I stammered, "I mean, yes Madame."

Only a minute into the meeting, and I have already made a mistake.
