They were in the middle of art class when Juleka heard Nathaniel sigh for the millionth time that day. She took note that his paper was blank and he was tapping away with his pencil while in his hand he rested his head. In resort she put down her own pencil then shifted so that she could look over to him "Is everything okay?" She asks seeing him jolt a bit before he leaned away from her to cover his mouth with his hand still leaning against it "You don't seem like you know what to draw."
"W-Well…" He begins crossing his arms on his desk and continues to stare at his blank canvas "There's this girl I really like, and I want to tell her how I feel but… I don't know how to tell her."
Juleka frowns a bit feeling something weird sink at the pit of her stomach from just hearing that. If anything she'd expect him to stay quiet about it, like he usually did but this time she noticed that he was willing to actually attempt to tell her. She knew he could be very shy when it comes to these things and she especially wished him the best seeing as to how he can be such a sweetheart.
She pondered for a bit in attempts to help him, he was her friend after all and she felt like she had to be there for him. "You could draw her something, I'm sure she'll like it."
"I don't know…" He spoke discouraged looking over at the tall girl as if contemplating whether or not he should go along with it. "Last time I tried to express my feelings through art I kind of… You know… embarrassed myself in front of the whole class." he laid his head down "She'd probably think I'm a creep."
"Nathaniel you're a great artist and I believe that if you're going to like someone, it should be someone who supports you. If you like art then I think you should express yourself in that way." She gives him an encouraging smile to which he reciprocates with a shy one but looks at her without fear. "It's like how I believed I was cursed with photos being taken of myself. Eventually I was able to do it."
Nathaniel sits up feeling confident once more and picks up his pencil again. Holding it to the paper he looks up to the tall girl and spoke with a casual friendly voice. Much like when they did when they would simply talk. That's probably why she didn't catch on as quickly when he asked "Then do you mind if I draw you?"
Feeling a heat rise tint her cheeks with a soft shade of scarlet, she can't help but grin and agree to him drawing her. It didn't take long for them both to avert their gazes and quickly become a deep shade of crimson. Looking back at each other, they take a moment of shyness before they both laugh happy with there newly founded relationship.
Author's Note
I felt like writing a short one shot as a distraction from the fic I was in the middle of writing. I hope you enjoyed this and continue to support Nathaniel and Juleka. I think they'd be adorable together (It's not because of the single eye style phase they're going through).
I do not own Miraculous LadyBug or it's character.
Please leave a review even if you didn't like it! Thank you!
