"Ginny, you're drooling."

I jumped up, cursing loudly. Luna sat next to where I had been, leaning on the oak tree, looking at me curiously with those cerulean eyes.

"Bloody hell, Luna. I told you to stop sneaking up on me." I snapped, running a hand through my hair anxiously. Luna's quiet tendencies and then loud introductions, often in the midst of total silence, were going to give me a heart attack someday.

"Did I catch you unawares? I'm sorry. Just thought you should know." she told me. Shaking my head, I leaned up against the tree and slid down to the grass.

"It's alright, honestly. You just surprise me sometimes is all." I muttered, feeling instantly guilty for speaking so harshly. She obviously was too immersed in her world to realize normal people don't enjoy being watched while asleep. Luna cocked her head to the side and beamed at me.

"Really? You surprise me, too. It's always a nice surprise, though." she replied brightly. Blushing, I averted my eyes and became very interested in the grass. I could feel her eyes upon me.

"You do realize we're missing potions?" she asked politely, as if knowing that her previous comment had unnerved me. And still so oblivious to think that this would be a helpful statement. Cursing loudly, I snatched my bag and started off at a run to the castle. I only looked back for a moment to catch a glance of Luna. She had stood, and was whispering something to the tree. Smiling in the way only she could, with dreams brimming in her eyes and unexpected words upon her lips, she turned to face me, and I blushed furiously once more. My head whipped around just in time to find the stone steps of the school coming up fast, and I collapsed in a heap of robes.

Damn Lovegood.
