"Dammit wench! Will you hurry up?"

"I can only go so fast you know!"

"Yeah, because you're just a weak human!"

Inuyasha didn't mean that though. He didn't mean most of the degrading statements that he had said to Kagome that would constantly start arguments. The truth was that he really loved Kagome, he just couldn't express it as such. Returning to his previous façade, he continued,

"Every day it's the same thing, you always want to take a break every few hours! Why can't you just suck it up and keep going?"

"Because us humans can't go on as much as youkai or hanyou for that matter can!"

Kagome fumed. She was really trying her best to go on and not complain about it, but it had been hard on her semi-frail body, she just couldn't handle all of the demon hunting, battling foes, and the constant bickering going on between her and Inuyasha. She had really been trying hard and pushing herself to the limits for him, but he seemed to not notice.

'What if he really doesn't care about me, what if my affection for him is just a lost cause?!'

With that, her previous anger had turned to heartbreaking sadness, she had really loved him in secret and tried her hardest for him and only him. She turned away and started running for the well, since they came close to it in their never-ending search for Naraku.

"Kagome! W-Where are you going!"

Inuyasha's ears drooped slightly as he smelt the scent of her fresh tears, said scent unnerving him. He had always hated it when she cried, it was like a punch to the heart at every sob. Deciding to try to apologize and console her, he pursued her.

He didn't have to worry about Miroku and Sango, as they were both in the land of the deceased; Miroku's kazaana had finally consumed him along with Sango, since the were in such a close proximity to each other at the time that it had consumed Sango before she could escape—not that she really wanted to anyway; she always wanted to stay with Miroku no matter what.

Thoughts of Miroku and Sango aside, the pursuit continued. Before they could make it too close to the well, and when Inuyasha finally caught up to Kagome, they were blocked by a passerby, or so it seemed. Said passerby was about Kagome's height, with a slightly more filled-out build, blonde hair, pale skin, and light green eyes. To both Inuyasha and Kagome, she looked like some sort of celestial being, but they could never be too sure. After a few moments of silence and staring, the said celestial being finally spoke. Her voice was like a thousand wind chimes on a breezy day.

"So it really is true, the prophecy of the hanyou and miko, I have always thought of it to be just a myth, until I see it now with my own eyes."

Inuyasha was the first one to speak up,

"What the hell are you talking about bi—"

"I cannot explain for now, but you will soon find out"

At that, she vanished, leaving the bewildered duo in said state for a few moments, anger melted away, sadness forgotten. Kagome felt a slight pull at her aura as she was being drawn to the well. She didn't know why, she just felt as though she had to go back to her own time. As she started for the well, Inuyasha followed, being drawn by the same force that was pulling Kagome towards the well.

A few moments passed, and they both jumped into the well, waiting for the blue light to engulf them. Not much time passed before they both noticed that it was not blue light that covered them, it was a magenta colored light, similar to the magenta stripes on Sesshomaru's cheeks.

A few more moments passed, and their movement halted, apprehension shown plainly on the couple's faces.

Inuyasha decided that it was time to get out of the well before something strange happened. He lifted Kagome on his back and jumped out of the well, shock written clearly on his face.
