History Books

The history books didn't have much to say about Bakura, King of Thieves.

'He was the most feared man in Ancient Egypt with no regard for the gods. He was the greatest adversary of Pharaoh Atemu; both of which disappeared around the same period of time. No one knows what became of them.'

No, historians didn't speak about Bakura the way they spoke of Atemu or Seth or even Mahaado. He was the bad guy remember?

There wasn't very much in the museum about him either. Just one artifact amongst many others, hard to notice if you didn't know what you were looking for.

Early Dynastic Period
A red robe of a style and color not common amongst the generally poor population of Ancient Egypt. Archaeologists believed it to have once belonged to Thief King Bakura.

That was his robe; the Spirit had assured Ryou many times.

Sometimes the Spirit would stay at the museum for hours, just looking through the Ancient Egypt exhibit. Looking at what had become of his home. His life.

Once all had feared him. Once everyone had known his face. Once he had been the King of Thieves.

Now he was a spirit, trapped inside a highschool boy's body, many years and many miles from home.

Ryou almost pitied him.
